Maybe this is an opportunity
With all that has happened in this test and the series so far (umpiring howlers and marginal decisions all going against the home team) and also the current state of the match, if Bangladesh goes on to draw this test, it will be a singular event that will have the potentials to make even the worst detractor stand up and cheer. The whole umpiring episode and the grievance of the home team is likely to be discussed then in a context like never before. It would be the best protest and best accomplishment inthe backdrop of all the wrongdoings of the umpire. The good part is - it is doable. Bangladesh arguably has the longest batting lineup and they definitely possess the skills to bat out another 35 40 overs. And I hope as much.
In all bleakness, there might be a window of opportunity. I hope for no less . Good luck team.

But what happend if 3 idiots (one in the top) do the same trick in the 5th day?
We have 4 wickets left with two decent batsman. One more help from the idiots will be be enough to make sure your scenario (draw) doesn't happen.

Couldn't agree with you more, DJ ! Elsewhere, I have written about some fascinating draws. In the one-day world, people hardly know about them.

ideally...we need to secure a 200 run lead.
theoretically possible if shafi + rubel can score 20, shakib and naeem combine for 80 (meaning shakib 65 total).

The 3idiots know that they are in a spotlight that they can't allow to remain for long and are highly unlikely to commit any more blunders, atleast against the home team. If they do, they'd be stupid a la certain Steve bucknor who will be remembered more for having been kicked out of a series rather than an honorable farewell.
Can't discount height of stupidity though. Without jinxing anyone with who should score how much, i just hope lat 4 make a stand - a final onebefore curtains onthis series.

If Bd can bat for another 40 overs and get 130 runs, england would need to chase 225 in around 45 overs with RR 5. I think this would be the ideal scenerio as england would be tempted to go after it and hopefully the pitch will aid the spinners.

we can still hope.
but we have played well enough in this game.
in the englands capabilty to last log in a test is giving them to chance to have a final say. but we are closing on the top teams. the next time england will visit BD .... they will loose

Okay Guys, hang on just 10 more overs. That's not asking for too much, please please stay put for next half an hour, and i assure you the match is on. Naeem had a brain fart but that's okay - you just do your parts. I need a good sleep and this is getting a little too anxious.

Now I am hoping Rubel to survive next 3 deliveries after lunch. Nayeem, Riyad, Mushy are failing in big time. Too disappointing. My man Shakib is still there with some hope. Rubel pls stay pls

Razzak should've stayed but this is still okay. 1 wicket left, lead of 200 and around 55 overs to go - not easy for england. One way or the other, this promises to be a cracker - and may i say it LOUD, with a good chance for BD to actually win. When i say good chance, it is still around 40-60 chance, or maybe 30-70, but i had take that if one offered it at the start of the days play.
Need to hit the sack with the hope that when i get up, Cricinfo may have something screaming in bold. May lady luck sing tonite on the side of the side that it had most deserted until now. On that note, Goodnite guys and good luck.

Players like Nayeem today in BD team seriously lack math. Did these guys even finish their school really?! All the good work of the day put into grave by moron Nayeem today.
There is always someone, somehow ready in the team to put you down real bad, hopeless bunch of losers at the end.

I think this thread may have jinxed the team. What else can explain, Shakib, the captain committing the same recklessness as the one that his lesser team-members should've been chastised for.
A draw was definitely on. I may have jinxed the team. This is sad. My apologies.
