Default Can the fools stop collapsing in ODI's?

Seems like they caught a new virus and going back to their old habits of falling like a deck of cards. Will they stop or will they still carry it onto the upcoming ODI's?

Bad habits die hard. If the same lineup is persisted, same thing will happen. We are not playing at Mirpur batting paradise.

"Can the fools stop collapsing in ODI's?"
Fools never stop collapsing; first, they have to stop being fools.

vettori is the one who casused the collapse, you can never hit the guy which puts huge pressure on the batting team

Batting slot wise performance analysis.
  • Tamim: He is almost up to the mark. He is catching up fast.
  • Imrul is not up to the mark. Nor does Junaid. We need a good partner of Tamim.
  • Ashraful is simply good for nothing. The more chance he gets, the more struggle for Bangladesh.
  • Raqibul is following the foot mark of Ash. He has to be replaced. No. 3 and No. 4 are two very important positions in the line up. You cannot give free rides in these two spots day after day. This is pure rubbish.

The rest of the batting line up looks ok to me. Shakib has to raise his game. That's it.

Tamim: Int'l class.
Imrul/Zunaed: Both at least scores 20-25 when bats with Tamim and gives us good start.
Ashraful: Simply Hagu.
Shakib: Has always depended on luck for batting. Captaincy pressure affecting his bowling now.
Rokib: Lost his form. Should go back and play NCL.
Mushy: Has always been sh*tty in bouncy wickets, be it batting or keeping.
Mahmudullah: Another ordinary BD player on bouncy wicket. His spin is nada against big boys.
Nayeem: How can he hit sixes if the middle order is non-existent?
Safiul: I can't blame this fella when BCB thinks that bowlers should learn in international matches instead of first class cricket.
Shahadat: Only if he was as good as he is in al Furqan bhai's fantasy land.
Nazmul: Only good in slow pitches.

The two gadhas - Ash and Raqibul - are ensuring we have these epic collapses. Throw them both out.

Sakib said in the post match presentation ceremony that when top order succeeds, middle order fails & vice versa. But more recently, we don't seem to have any middle order.

All we have is just a lower middle order batsman in Mahmudullah and Tamim & his partner at the top order. And now Mahmudullah is also losing himself.

You must be looking at the stat sheets and not the game. He bowled most of his overs in the powerplays. At least he didn't give 22 (Nazmul) or 25 (Shahadat - Crap crap crap Sharapova) runs.

The game was at one stage very much in favor of BD. Mushi's drop catch finished the game. NZ would be 7 down. Commentators said this is the turning point. Sure enough that was the turning point. that 60 ball 118 partnership never happens. Every game we drop catches at crucial stage. A novice team like ours can't win against #4 team in the world if they keep giving lives.

Shafiul is the man.
Shafiul is the man.
Shafiul is the man.
Shafiul is the man.
Shafiul is the man.
Shafiul is the man.
Shafiul is the man.

He bowled his heart out. He single handedly defied NZ giants.

Shakib needs a shot in his rear. Where is the cool Shakib of 2009? I understand Mushi was creating pressure on the other end with dot balls but there was 30+ overs left still. No need to charge down Vettori in the first ball you face of the over. And if that is what your intention was then why did you not take the powerplay and take advatage of the infield?

I am more worried abt line up
when ash comes to bat he starts collapsing and then goes on

why is he playing at number 3?
Though it's time to drophim and rokib

sakib should bat after naeem for sure
mushfiq should be one down batsman

So many mistakes yesterday.

1. Shakib bringing himself in on the 11-15 powerplay when Shahadat and Nazmul were doing so well
2. Missed stumping of Ross Tayolr (oddly enough, no one is talking much about this)
3. Letting Vettori/Broom get away with a ball a run 50+ partnership after having them at 135/5
4. Broom's dropped catch
5. Not bowling Oram short pitched balls (which should have been on the scouting report)
6. Wides and horrible Batting powerplay bowling (minus Shafiul)
7. After a good position even after Ash's wicket not capitalizing on the RR by sending in Mahmadullah and Naeem up the order and persisting with out of form Raqib, Shakib and Mushfiq
8. Shakib not utilizing the batting PP when we decided he was going to slog anyways
9. Not selecting Aftab in a field where 300+ happens quite frequently due to short boundaries

I wish they were fools; at least they would do what they are told to do. Instead they use there empty heads too much and gets into trouble. Something must be wrong within the team. I see a clear lack of motivation & team espirit. Leadership problem if I can say.

I know him pretty well by now. In his book Ash didn't even make any grading scale. Hence the exclusion. Nothing wrong with that. My take exactly.

Ash did a good job with the run out and catch on the field. I'm done commenting on his batting. I've learned to accept he is on the team for life regardless of how he performs.

I didn't pick on anyone specifically (other than Mushy's keeping) but more on strategy and approach as a team.

Cannot agree more. Specially regarding Ashraful and Raqibul. The country has enough talented batsmen now a days to depend on the players who are constant failures. Everytime BD bats, it is given that # 3 and 4 spots where these two fools bat will produce nothing and trigger a collapse. A country cannot suffer because of the coach and selector's stubborn attitude to replace their "non-performing dear pet players".
