We really need a TEST win in SL to prevent getting hammered by international community for our test status

Dream on bhai. We are not winning any test there that's for sure. I'll take a draw if we can manage it.

In Multan we were denied a win when Pakistan was star-studded with big name batters and BD was still a mediocre minnow in test arena. Winning a test match with a higher ranked team is never been within our reach as much it is now.

On the second thought we should not travel pakistan unless we get neutral venue. What was I thinking................

PCB chairman has high hopes of Bangladesh touring Pakistan

Quote:
LAHORE - Mohammad Zaka Ashraf, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board has said the tour of Bangladesh to Pakistan is still on and only date adjustments are being worked out in consultation with the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

“Bangladesh team's tour to Pakistan is not off, it is still on and we are working on adjusting dates of the tour with the cooperation of BCB,” he told newsmen here Monday on return of the Pakistan team after winning the one-day series in India.

Pakistan team was accorded a warm welcome on its arrival at Lahore airport and all the players and the team management officials were profusely garlanded.

PCB Chief said he had a productive meeting with head of BCB, Nazamul Hasan and they discussed the tour of Bangladesh team to Pakistan.

“We are confident that we will soon be announcing the dates of the tour.”

Really getting sick to see this drama over and over again.. We are not going to Pakistan'. It's a fact. After BPL2, BCB will most likely say no to PCB regarding this tour. It's a sick game. Just say no now and end it right here please. These type of yes no yes no game will definitely damage our image..

I say it again, we should not send our players to pakistan...If pakistan can't provide neutral venue then they do not deserve to play odi test or t20.

If for that reason the pak players don't come to play BPL, they will be the losers not us there are a loads of quality players in the world last time i checked.

A win against a higher-ranked country will help, but I am not that confident. We had an excellent opportunity against WI in the 1st test, but failed to capitalize. SL is likely to be a tougher opponent.

Well now that Chuckie has retired, we have a much better chance in tests. But we need some decent pacers, lankans are very weak against pace.

Ya, Zaka hasn't yet got the taste of our politicians..... Papon must have been telling all yes yes yes to ensure that the Pak players are available for BPL.... Tour will be scheduled after BPL as there is no scope before that.... And then again, security will come into effect.... Papon will keep this tour forever.... 10 shala porikolpona to deal with PCB....

Our pace department is weak. Plus, Mash cannot play tests.

Default Pakistan players' BPL stints in doubt

Zaka Ashraf, the PCB chairman, has indicated that Pakistan players will play in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) only if the BCB agrees to a tour of Pakistan.

The BPL is scheduled to begin on January 18 and several Pakistan players were sold at its auction last month. Their participation, however, could hinge on the BCB's response to Ashraf's comments. There has been a lot of talk of Bangladesh touring Pakistan but with security continuing to be a concern, there have been no concrete steps forward.

I don't understand why we are so dependent on pak players. Indian players are not playing in BPL. Did that stop BPL happening last season? So many quality cricketers from other countries were unsold in the auction.

Good bye to BPL, thats the end. How do you replace 53 foreign pakistani players now?

LOL...Zaka retaliated against BCB. Gave Pappon assurances or lukewarm answers in Delhi and last minute pulls a "fast" one. In the end, he'll hurt his own players. No foreigners will play PSL, rendering it nothing more than a hyped up Faisal Bank tourney. No way that league will be worth even 20 million, forget about 100 million plus.

Also I don't mind BPL getting killed. Too bad our boys will miss out on those sizeable late paychecks, though.

Absolutely nothng will happen. If the pak players don't come, there's gonna be a riot inside PCB building.
At best, BPL just might get delayed by few days, but the show will go on.

Too bad for PAK players, BPL have to look for more SL, WI, NZ players to make it competitive. Zaka should read todays newspaper of his country before making any comments on security issue.

You have got plenty of players to sign around the world. And it will never fail, you'll get full house even if Pak players back off - should be enough to be profitable really.

I think this renewed condition (earlier treated as a threat) coming from Zaka, due to opening mouth of ICC VP Kamal's recent comment on his initiation & sole commitment on this tour, is just making obvious question whether BCB can keep their words even after BPL finishes.

I really hope Pak players dont come. That will force franchises to sign other overseas players and show them the league can go on without paks. It will reduce the risk of corruption significantly as well. But knowing paks i am pretty sure they will come to play even if no one else comes.

I don't understand why the Pakers think that their third rate cricketers like Fazal Mahmood and Shahbaz Butt are make or break players.

lol what the hell is "PSL"? As if any non-pakis will play that league. Maybe a couple of Afghans, but good luck getting any noteworthy foreigners.
