Geat decision by Bagh mama.

Aftab was never a test batsman. So the question is should Jahur bat at no#4 or Mushy should bat at no#4 and Jahur should bat at no#6 or 7.

I'm also hopful Shafiul would do better in Test than Shahadat. At the moment Shafiul has the most variation in the squad.

Best of luck to Jahurul.
His hard work paid off.

Hope he can make a memorable debut.

Well, he can always teach the selectors a lesson (for ignoring him all this years) by retiring before his debut. He does not even have a contract to lose!

Wow...gotta give it to the selectors this time...they did a very good job...I tip my hat to them...only thing I would've done different is include a W/K batsman and let Mushfiq focus on batting alone.

Bangkladesh playing XI for 2nd Test: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Mushfiqur Rahim (Vice Captain/WK), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Zunaed Siddique, Jahirul Islam, Mahmud Ullah, Neem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam, Rubel Hossain.
what a bunch of selectors we have! They've spoiled opportunities of other player by keeping Aftab match after match.

I'd rather have a team full of players who are talented plus hardworking/patient/persevering as opposed to those possessing "supreme?!!!" talent by our standards (likes of Ash, SN, Aftab) and lacking these all important virtues...kudos to the selectors for getting it almost right this time.

In recent times, we won Nayeem's debut game, we won Rubel's debut game, we almost won Shuvo' debut game. [Only exception, Shafiul]
So hopefully we will win Jahurul' debut game as well

I expect he'll keep wicket from time to time during the test match.

With Mushy and Jahurul sharing keeping duties, we may even see Mushy bowl an over or two!

Good luck Johurul..

Well, that may be true, but he was seen practising his keeping in the nets earlier this week, so something is being planned...

Not expecting anything from this kid until i see him myself, Shuvo was so overhyped in this forum so much so that i got brainwashed believing he was the saviour of BD cricket, But after i saw him play, He cudn't even spin the damn ball. So i'll keep my reservation on him until i see it myself.

This will be a big test for our domestic cricket. Jahurul has payed 60 first class macthes which is a very significant number. He has been a consistent performer of our domestic circuit and has FC average of 36.34 which is decent.

He is making debut at the age of 24 which is also good. He should be a more matured cricketer at this age compared to his team-mates who made their debut as teenagers.
