U-19 players called up


A three-week camp of the Bangladesh Under-19 team will start from Wednesday at the GP-BCB National Cricket Academy in Mirpur.

Eighteen players including several first-class cricketers have been called up to the camp including Anamul Haque, Asif Ahmed, Soumya Sarkar, Salman Hossain, Abu Zayed, Nasum Ahmed, Nayeem Islam Jr and Noor Hossain.

The Under-19 World Cup begins in Australia on August 11. Bangladesh have been placed in Group D alongside Sri Lanka, South Africa and Namibia.

It is a diffetent Al Amin. This Al Amin is a Spin AR. Right hånd bat and off break bøwler.

Players who participated in A team/National team should not be a part of U19 team after.... You dont put an A level candidate to study in grade 5 again.... just a thought...

I disagree. As long as a player is of age, then no problem playing them. You always want to play your best team. If that player is however a integral member of the national team, then it makes sense because you don't want to risk injury since national committments > U19.

But I'd say the U19 is next highest.

Cubs starts their preparation. Do you think BCB should utilize Shane Jurgensen and Grant Luden to help since they are not heavily involved with the main team at this moment.

our u-19 team are the like SA. They have one of the strongest team and yet they only win plate championship and only once got into the top 5. This is pathetic to say the least

Asif Ahmed will lead the team and Nur hossain munnad apponited his deputy. Good choice;2 senior citizens in the squad will lead Taskin Ahmed Tazin misses out due to Injury. Hope he recovers before the WC allah malik!!!
