Let's go Tigers! Working right now, taking a break. Will go to the lab later on to edit the preview pod we did on this game.

Will post it to this thread as well.

I don't think I want carrots and raisins in my polao! Biriyani triumphs polao anyway.

I had suggested the same squad before, with two changes.

1) Shanto and Mominul switch batting positions. I just don't know if Mominul has the flair to be an opener.

2)Ariful instead of Mashrafe. Why should we risk the one man who can hold the team together in a dead rubber? Let him have a rest too along with Shak, Rahim and Fizz. Riyad can captain the side.

I had forgotten about Ariful being in the squad, yes he should replace Mash then and let Riyad lead them tomorrow.

As for Shanto and Mominul switching batting positions, either one opening works for me. Just hope that they can get some runs on the board and impress.

Definitely agree. This will also give us a hint of how we will perform as a team once them big names exit

I have a super brilliant idea: what's the point of playing this pointless match. why don't two captains and teams meet together shake hands and call this game off? this would send a very strong message to ICC, BCCI and those who organized such ridiculous and dumb schedule.

Bangladesh is scheduled to meet Afghanistan anyways in the next round...

Good idea. This is deader than dead rubber. 1st and 2nd places have already been determined (lol).

Can they do that in ODI?

There is an organizer arranging this and this means tickets were sold along with broadcast rights. Who will pay for the damages in this brilliant idea?

Did anyone replace Tamim in the squad, or is it just a squad of 14 now?

Mainly the organizer and the host unless the two teams break a rule would be my guess.

I need that Morog polao, Looks so Yum Yum . On topic, We got 15 players in the squad? so we can maximum rest 4 players for todays match? May be 3 max if we count 12th man. I'd say rest 1. Mushy 2. Shakib, 3. Mash 4. Mosta (12th man) . Let Riyad lead. All the best

Can’t get up and bowl your heart out if you lost the night before.

There is no new round. There’s only momentum.

Or may be they get charged up losing to relatively weaker team and come back strong to fight against stronger team next day.

Whatever happens, we have to take every single game importantly.

Here is what we had to say about the match. The 11th episode of The Yorker is now out! Please do check it out. We also briefly get into the game on 21st (which we now know will be vs. Pakistan). But I doubt if all 3 of us can make time to do a preview for that match. So after the game vs Pakistan, we can do a combined review of both the Afg and Pak match. Here is to two wins in two days!! Cheers.

I just hope we bench all seniors players for this game so they are well rested and ready to challenge India. The goal is to qualify for the final at this point and our best chance for that is to be able to field well rested players tomorrow. This particular game will depend on how well our young players can counter afghan spin bowling. I think Mominul is a very good player of spin and Mithun is good as well. Ryad I am not too sure. I will be looking to these 3 to get us to a competitive score combined with useful contributions from Liton and Mosaddek.

If BCB had any guts, they would fly in and field one of the DPL teams, and send our 14 man squad to Dubai now. Broadcasters can't complain as long as we field a team.

That is true. Which is why we should at least field our B team from the bench

I really don't care if BD plays with bench, table, chair etc, I just want to win against Afgans. Still can't forget the whitewash.
