Powell: Tsunami aid may help fight terror
Rice, Powell's successor: The Tsunami was started by terrorists who detonated an underwater weapon of mass destruction. We don't have proof yet, but believe it to be true. Tsunami aid is our newest frontier in the fight against terror.

"The Prime Minister, John Howard, today pledged $1 billion over five years to the Indonesia's tsunami reconstruction, the largest donation made so far for the relief effort. "
Holy ****! oh but..
"On the eve of today's international summit in Jakarta, Mr Howard announced a historic package which includes $500 million in direct aid and $500 million in concessional loans."
$500 million in "concessional loans" whatever that means, but at least he is giving $500 million in direct aid. Way to go Johnny

the PM of Thailand actually said to a CNN interview that they don't want money as a form of help! What they require is experts in helping with the relief operations, logistic support, ppl to work with development of their infrastructure and developing early warning system so that better precautions are taking in case it happens again. I do believe the BD should look out for their SAARC partners affected by this disaster.
Currently Australia is leading in the donor category. US can't really give anything more becoz the amount of money that goes to Iraq and Afganistan is unbelievable!

How are Saudi Arab, Kuwait and other middle eastern countries as a donar. STINGY!!! They can give money to taliban to buy weapons but cannot give money to the Tsunami victims?
Arabian princess drive half a million dollar car in US roads. Spend levishly in hotels, hookers and casinos but they cannot help the Tsunami victims?
Thailand said they donot need it. But Indonesia, Srilanka, Maldieves and african countries said they need it. If America(Infidels), Australia, and Europe can have the heart to do it. Why not the oil rich muslims countries??
