If no payment issues arise this time, there will be more big names next time.

If i was BCB this is what i would have recommanded to pakistan. If the players/management/etc agrees to tour pakistan then they have to host us for a full series in 2013 in a nutral venue ( not in pakistan)!!!

Dear One World

I am also not in favour of the tour. But the majority should win. Isn't it?
Good that you are not in favor. But majority should win when the poll is not rigged. Online polls are unreliable to begin with.

Get loads of domestic T20 hitters from SA, Oz, Eng etc IMO. I"m sure there are plenty of them - would attract viewership as well.

Wait till Sunday, says Papon
(from daily star)

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon appeared before the media two days after returning from London, but the BCB boss still kept everything close to his chest.

Everybody was eagerly awaiting Papon's take on two burning issues -- the controversy surrounding the amended board constitution and the Tigers' proposed tour of Pakistan " which is why he was faced with questions as soon as the media got wind of his presence at the inauguration of the Bangladesh Cricket League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. But the BCB chief said a meeting with the media on Sunday will hopefully clear the air regarding the current issues.

He however said that there are still concerns about their tour to Pakistan next month. “We still have our concerns.

At this moment we cannot comment on our decision. We cannot just say anything definitively,” said Papon.

“Within the next day or two, we can let you know something. We will sit and discuss the situation once again,” he added.

To attract ^^^ them, BCB has to solve previous player's payment issues along with ensuring full payments of next (2nd) BPL on time.

Won't be an easy case in any way IMHO. Finger crossed!

According to news report BCB received official detail of the total security structure that will be provided to our national team. According to BCB it is impressive enough and seems more than sufficient for our players and officials. However, BCB has not made their final decision yet. They are currently waiting for the investigative report from ICC. If ICC report seems positive then only BCB will let PCB know about the future of this tour.

ICC will always give the positive result if both teams agree to make the tour. This is not the headache of ICC but we need to think about our players' lives.

These are just a few incidents of a normal day in Pakistan, I couldn't copy all that happened. These are all militant acts, not the regular crimes.... So you can understand what's the security situation in an abnormal day.....

Killing 21 paramilitary soldiers and 5 policemen etc etc and yet the nature of reporting is like someone has stolen your money bag.... That's what is today's Pakistan for those who are still in illusion of brotherhood ..... Do you really want our team to tour Pak in such situation?... .....

Lets just go and get it over and done with so we don't have to go again besides, its only for 2 days and once we get through this, we can continue to use Pakistan for our gains i.e. BPL, International matches etc.

Or we can make a cricket team with war locked Pakistanis in Bihari camps. Appoint some officials from their elders. Assign few Pak coaches for the team. Train one of them for umpiring. Then send the troop boarding PIA as a symbol of warm regards.

BCB has some spine and some common sense...refreshing to see. I had a very strong feeling the last 2 weeks that BCB was going to do this. Can't express how pleased I am.

Pakistan fans are getting exactly what they want as well. Now they can arrange a 7 test series at home versus South Africa and then host better teams like Ireland and Scotland.

Good decision! Thanks BCB.

Wonder what PCB will do now. Will they make Pakistani players in BPL withdraw?

The credit goes to all those who came together to oppose the risky and utterly pointless tour and made their voices heard on the street, in the media and behind closed doors.
