i'd keep r.sharma at the top since he's been doing a better job there than he did down the order and put pujara at #4 with rahane at #5. i'm sick of them opening with rahane in the shorter formats, he's a talented player but i just don't see him working out as opener, #3-5 is where he'd fit best imo.

also toss up between yadav and shami, though not seen shami bowl and heard good things so maybe i'm off by saying it's a toss up. but yadav is starting to improve in ODIs. if yadav continues improving then soon there will be no need for ishant.

My team would be something like this:

1. Rohit Sharma
2. Dhawan
3. Kohli (c)
4. Pujara
5. Karthik (wk)
6. Raina
7. Jadeja
8. Rasool
9. Shami
10. Mohit Sharma
11. Unadkat/V. Kumar

I'd give Rohit Sharma a few more chances before considering Rahane in place of him. Also since Vinay Kumar (and Unadkat to some extent) has both had their chances in the past, I'd like to pick the new duo of Mohit/Shami ahead of them, at least for the first 2-3 matches.

How good are India now after getting rid off deadwood like Gambhir and Sehwag? Although i did like Gambhir. He carried KKR's batting in their IPL two seasons ago and also played very well at times for the national team. Sehwag leaves with a very good record in tests. Kinda feel sorry for both of them. But that happens when you aren't consistent enough for a certain period of time.

Although it shows that India have very good batsmen waiting to have a go

can dhawan rohit face morkel/styen in sa tour ?

I think india need them in sa tour at least in test.bcoz there is no dravid/laxman and raina cant play bounce. In Sa Tour India's testteam should be-->

1.Dhawan
2.Sehwag/Gambhir
3.Pujara
4.Sachin
5.Virat
6.Dhoni
7.Jadeja
8.Aswin
9.Bhubneswer
10.Ishant
11.Umesh

*india lost 3 match out of for
*india lost her both match to zimbabowe 1 to sl
*won only 1 match to sl
*zim & sl played final & sl win

out of 4 match zim won 3.
They beat india twice & sl once
