8.Not including Sabbir in Asia cup.( if he is in the world cup squad, then should have played in asia cup to see how he fares.)

I think Mushy is getting too much bansh where the selectors also need some of the beter bari.

What are the general issues with the current selector panel?

I think they will do that by ruling out farhad as injured player, for sure..

They value names more than current form/performance. Otherwise why would Sunny not be selected for the T20 squad after having such good series against SL. Reza lost us 1 match yet he still makes the squad. Our selectors are like Obama, rewarding players for being lazy.

This selection committee and BCB are not accountable for this debacle they have to share the faults too.

A common complaint about the selectors from players is that they seldom go to local games to scout players with their own eyes. In the rare occasion when they do, not many of them really know what they're looking for. KM Pilot does but he's not influential. It's all about lobbying AKA chatukarita, toilomordon, and deal making phone calls from up above. Decontextualized stats are then used, if and when possible, to justify the inclusion of those players. They are no different from some of the fans in this forum who fall in love with certain prospects because of such decontextualized statistical geekfesting without actually seeing the player in action over a period of time. Jodi laigga jay mindset all around. That's why we need foreign scouts training local ones, and a clear selection criteria.

We'll have better, comparatively more professional selectors when a better generation of players with a deeper understanding of the game become selectors. Until then, so cold the night!
