Chief Selector Performance Rating Thread

Current one might be the Worst Chief Selector of all time. No small accomplishment!

I give him an F-- for:

1. "Nepotism" (Selecting Reza)
2. Idiocy (Selecting Razzak despite poor form)

save your energy from trying to say oh its the selectors fault, its the captain's lack of pressure, it's razzak's poor form, it's the absence of zia, its reza's and riyad's fault... save it. it's not going to help. the train is already destined to crash, and nothing will stop it.

Yes but you need a fresh start. A lot of us in BC have been talking about major team assessment and reconfiguration. Let's see what we learn from this. I seriously hope these potential U-19 guys see what's happened and burn with the fire to actually take our game to the respectable level in the coming years.

Can't overhaul the whole team but some spots are still a big issue. Shamsur I think can be a really good t20 option for us, if look fir spin all rounders maybe we should be looking at throwing mosaddek into the deep end after this tournament.

that's pretty much half the team

Not Reza, but most likely Razzak. And it has nothing to do with Faruk right now. His only fault was he gave the opportunity to Rahim to select them in the first place in team of 11.

Indeed. One thing though I can't blame Faruk entirely that Reza was the best all-round performer in domestic cricket in year 2013, thus, he had earned a re-call. He failed to deliver which is not selector's fault IMHO.

I disagree. Reza never was a t20 material. He is neither a hitter nor an effective bowler.where does he suppose to bat ? We also had bad experience with him before even though he did well in domestic arena.

যেই দল গঠনের দায়িত্বটা পায় কেন যেন হেই বেটাই কান্ডজ্ঞান খান মাথা থেইক্কা ঝেটাইয়া বিদায় কইরে কাজে নাইম্মা পরে

দল যারা ঘঠন করবে হেগোরে তো একটা খেলোয়াড়ের ভেতরে কি মসলা আছে তা বুঝতে হইবো
হে গোরে গরীব দেশের টেকা দিয়া রাখছে কি আমগো চিক্কুরে দল বানাইবার লেইগ্গা ???

ভালো উদাহারন শ্রীলংকার আত্তাপাতু, হেরে যখন প্রথম নিছে হে খালি লা্ড্ডু মারে
তা আমরা হাসি-ঠা্ট্টা করি লংকার দল গঠনের দায়িত্বে থাকাগো লইয়া
তা তারা কইলাম আমগো হাসিঠা্ট্টায় তাগো দেখার চোওখরে খাটো করে নাই
হেরা আতাপাত্তুরে সুযোগ দিয়াই গেলো এবং ৭ না ৮ টা ইনিংস খেলার পর থেইক্কা আত্তাপাতু তার খেলাটা শুরু করলো

এর ঠিক উল্টাটা আছে আমগো দেশে - একজনরে ব্যটার হিসাবে বছরের পর বছর খেলার সুযোগ দিছে যার গড় ২২
যেকোন দেশের শেষের বোলারগো ব্যটিং গড়ও এর কাছেই থাকে

মূল কথা আমগো দল গঠনের দায়িত্বে যারা তাগো "দেহি না কি হয়" মার্কা খেলোয়াড় বাছাই বন্ধ করতে হবে
মাল ভালো না খারাপ বুইঝা দলে ঢুকাইতো হইবো
আর মাল চেনার ক্ষেমতাটা যাদের নাই সে যতো বড় খেলোয়াড়ই হোক হেইবেটারে বা হেগোরে দল গঠনের মূল দায়িত্ব দেয়া-টা ঠিক না

আমি কই কি মূল এই কাজটাতে দেশের বাইরের যারা ভালো করছে তাগো থেইক্কা একজনরে নিয়া আসা হোক দুই বছরের লেইগ্গা
তার লগে আমগো দুই জন থাইক্কা শিখলো কেমনে খেলোয়াড়ের বাছাই করতে হয়

তয় সমস্যা হইলো বাছাই করার এই ক্ষেমতাটা ঘসামাজা কইরা খুব বেশী ভালা করা যায় বইল্লা আমার মনে লয় না
বাছাই করার মসলা নিজের ভেতরে না থাকলে
আর দূরকে দেখার ক্ষেমতা না থাকলে এই কাজ ঠিক-কইরা করা খুবই মুস্কিল
