ব্যাটিং অর্ডার নিয়ে দলে অস্বস্তি

তিন-চারজন সিনিয়র ক্রিকেটারের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করেও কোনো বক্তব্য পাওয়া গেল না। সবার প্রায় একই কথা, ‘কিছু বললেই সবাই বুঝে ফেলবে আমি বলেছি। তাই কোনো কথাই বলা যাবে না।’
কী সেই ব্যাপার, যা নিয়ে টুঁ শব্দটি করতে রাজি নন বাংলাদেশ দলের সিনিয়র ক্রিকেটাররা? মনের মধ্যে অসন্তোষ বয়ে বেড়াচ্ছেন, কিন্তু সেটি প্রকাশ করতে ভয় কেন?

জিম্বাবুয়ে সিরিজ পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার সিরিজ হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠা পেয়ে গেছে আগেই। পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার মূল উদ্যোক্তা কোচ চন্ডিকা হাথুরুসিংহে। এশিয়া কাপ ও টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপে মূল দলের পেছনে পর্যাপ্ত বিকল্প খেলোয়াড় চান তিনি। ব্যাটিং অর্ডারে ওলট-পালট, একে বাদ দিয়ে ওকে নেওয়া—এসব সে কারণেই। এর কিছু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে হাথুরুসিংহের সঙ্গে নির্বাচকদের মতের মিল
থাকলেও অনেক ক্ষেত্রে মতপার্থক্য আছে বলেও জানা গেছে।

সেটি থাকতেই পারে। কিন্তু কোচের নিরন্তর গবেষণায় যে অসন্তোষ ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে দলের সিনিয়র খেলোয়াড়দের মধ্যে! ব্যাটিং অর্ডারে পরিবর্তন নিয়েই কথা হচ্ছে বেশি। ওপেনিংয়ে তামিম-সৌম্য, তিনে সাব্বির, চারে মুশফিক, পাঁচে সাকিব, ছয়ে মাহমুদউল্লাহ—খুব প্রয়োজন না হলে অন্তত এটুকুতে নতুন করে পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার প্রয়োজন দেখছে না দলের একটা অংশ।

Here is coach's view:

চন্ডিকা হাথুরুসিংহের ‘গবেষণা’য় দলের সিনিয়র খেলোয়াড়েরা অসন্তুষ্ট হতে পারেন, তবে তা নিয়ে একদমই চিন্তিত নন বাংলাদেশ দলের কোচ। কাল দুপুরে এ নিয়ে মুঠোফোনে বললেন, ‘আমার মাথায়ই ব্যাপারটা নেই। এ রকম কিছু শুনিওনি। যতক্ষণ লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য ঠিক থাকে, আমার মনে হয় না এসব নিয়ে ভাবার কিছু আছে। আমি আমার ছেলেদের নিয়ে গর্বিত।’

তবে প্রসঙ্গটা ওঠায় পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার আসল কারণ তুলে ধরার প্রয়োজন মনে করলেন হাথুরুসিংহে। গত বছর ৫০ ওভারের বিশ্বকাপ থেকে শৃঙ্খলাভঙ্গের অভিযোগে দেশে ফেরত পাঠাতে হয়েছিল আল আমিনকে। পরে কাঁধে চোট পেয়ে টুর্নামেন্ট থেকে ছিটকে যান এনামুল হকও। বিকল্প হিসেবে দেশ থেকে উড়িয়ে নেওয়া হয়েছিল ইমরুল কায়েস ও শফিউল ইসলামকে। ওপেনার ইমরুল তিন ম্যাচে করেছিলেন মাত্র ৯ রান। শফিউল খেলারই সুযোগ পাননি। হাথুরুসিংহে জানালেন, সে অভিজ্ঞতা মনে রেখেই এবার দল নিয়ে এত গবেষণা, ‘গত বিশ্বকাপে আমাদের হাতে মাত্র ১৫ জন খেলোয়াড় ছিল। দু-একজন চোটে পড়ার পর বিকল্প হিসেবে যাঁদের পেয়েছিলাম, তাঁরা সব দিক দিয়েই অন্যদের তুলনায় পিছিয়ে ছিল। সেই একই ভুল আবার করতে চাই না। এ কারণেই এবার এত পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষা।’

বিশ্বকাপের আগে দেশের মাটিতে এশিয়া কাপটাও হবে টি-টোয়েন্টি ম্যাচের। লম্বা সময় ধরে ক্রিকেটাররা খেলার মধ্যে থাকবেন বলেই একটু বেশি সাবধানী কোচ, ‘বিশ্বকাপের আগে এশিয়া কাপ আছে, সেটাও মাথায় রাখতে হবে। আমি নিশ্চিত হতে চাই, অন্তত ১৮-২০ জন খেলোয়াড় খেলার জন্য প্রস্তুত আছে।’

I didn't find nothing wrong there.... Coach is superve. I like to kick out all selfish players who's only thinking about them, not country..... Hire beta, this is international level... You always have keep extra... So to do that, you need team like Zimbabwe to exam when currently BD on song.... Neka naki senior players ra??? Beta man up.... Our desi women's no wonder likes other country's man ... Whom defenetly not Neka, and understand what country needs, coach needs, wife needs? Every women wants rayan goslin .... Bangladeshi players prove time and time again they are idiots. Specially the senior ones. They are thick headed and filled with ego, and just going by the standards really selfish as well.

I mean why can't you just listen to the coach and play at whichever position you can? Except Shakib who has played a lot of T20s none have them proved they can bat at 3,4 or 5. Even Shakib averages a mere 24 in batting and you think that's enough?

Grow some guts and play for the team even if you are batting at number 6, don't whine and fret like a b**** because contributions can be made from anywhere. The batting order is much more established now with Tamim, Shoumya, Shabbir, Shakib, Mushfique, Riyad following. Stop whining damn it.

I read in BDnews that shakib and mushfik were more then fine with the change. the only other senior here is tamim and he is playing in his normal position. I dont see any base in prothom alo's story

Shakib currently has an avg of 25.42 and a SR of almost 126.76, That itself is decent inT20 and with his added bowling you cant ask more then that

Of course you ask more than that player like sakib... What this 25 will do in real matches? Gontta?? He's bowling is totally less then wholesale price... Every rookie players kiss his bowling now days... Sakib is not a player like awshin or jadeja who just contributed when ind need some fireworks.... But player like sakib BD depend on him to finish the line with success... That's why Haturi Shaheb need to bat little behind only for t20... That is absulitly fine..... If he has a problem , I guess his retirement will call him soon.... Bangladesh is land of talent .... One best coach will find them here there like mustafiz, sarkar, Sabbir, haider, sohan, mosaddek, etc.... So it's time for fan like us to enjoy the BD success in world cricket ... Riad is the real man.... I used to call him dhojo vhongo... But I change my word after I seeing him in last bpl... He's the 2nd best captain after mashraffe... This guy until now not involve with any BD drama ... He's consideration for the team up and down... But as a man he's not a snich .... Which its very important for the successful team... You play good or bad... Just stood up man... Success might not show up like you expected... But it' will give you kiss every time it will pass by...

there is no doubt in the players mind about their batting order. All these experiments are done to ensure backup slots for some of the slots in case of injury. This is just bs journalism.

Yeah same here. Apart from Mashrafe, there are only four other senior players, so the suspicion automatically falls on the drama queens among them.
