Evin Lewis is the latest centurion in T20Is.
And how about that opening partnership? 126 runs in 9.3 overs

West Indies recorded their highest score in T20Is.
245/6 off their allotted overs
Congrats to Stuart Binny on becoming the proud record holder for the most runs conceded in an over: 32

If all the bowlers are getting battered, then it is a T20 ground.
Possibly flat as a tortilla.

Oh my.....what an end to this match.
India needed 2 off the last ball to complete what would have been the highest successful chase in T20Is...Dhoni on strike...one would expect him to finish it off in his usual style...but Bravo was up tO task and held his nerve to bowl a wicket ball...
West Indies won by 1 run.
Lokesh Rahul was spectacular, unbeaten on 110 off 51 balls.

I watched the match. Superb but I felt west indies fielding let them down and they were bowling too many hit me balls.
Great exhibition nonetheless

He hasn't played more than 10 matches in all three formats, and managed to score centuries in all format....

This pretty much summed the day up:
Quote:
When Bravo began it, 483 runs had been scored in 39 overs. Thirty-two sixes and 35 fours had been hit on a flat deck surrounded by short boundaries. Johnson Charles had looted 79 off 33, playing only five scoring shots on the off side. Playing only his second T20I, replacing Gayle, Lewis had hit five sixes in a Stuart Binny over. Rohit Sharma looked like he could cream his way to another hundred when he scored 62 off 28. Andre Russell, the best T20 cricketer going around today, had just been mercilessly taken for 36 runs in his last two overs.

What a frikkin game that day.
Intuitively I felt India will chase it down.
Intuitvely I felt since some no-name low-profile West Indies player scored a 100, who knows Rahul will do so too, dekha jabe. Bhablam amra shobai jokhon endowed with buddhahood.
Arektu holei prothom ta lege gechilo.
Jaihok onek moja pelam dhoni r out howar kotha shune.. Ekhon bujhok T20 cup er amra kemon koshto, jatona, bedona peyechilam.

^^ Zeeshan bhai, that 'no-name' player made a century in BPL 3.
I surprised you never heard about him(or you're being sarcastic?).

No I meant, you are primed to expect these sorts from Gayle or someone. But it is always the other dude, the foreign exchange guy with weird accent in turban at the back of the class, who walks away with Denise Milani.
Edit: But you are right, I never heard of E.Lewis before this match. Also I don't really follow cricket match that much except BC.

Fair point....think about the crowds Going to watch the Universe Boss, and in turn have to settle with the undercard.....
But yes, but the guy who walked away with a prize was Stuart binny....lucky fella

I hope we saw the overall sober response from the Indian media about this defeat. When I compare this with our T20 defeat by a run and the huge brickbats hurled at Mushfiq,Mahmadullah et-all it still pains me. We often just getncarried away as fans but at-least the media should have been more restrained.

Difference was this was a meaningless t20, while ours was in the World Cup. Not that it would, but it could have still kept us alive in the competition and eliminate the hosts at the same time.
