Default PAK's 1st Double-Ton

I haven't been following cricket much lately due to the FIFA WC. So, this morning I woke up and watched PAK's batting from 40th over in the 4th ODI against ZIM. Did it surprise me? Oh Yes! No wickets down till 42nd over and the opening pair getting 100 each - isn't usual scene from PAK.

Fakhar got PAK's 1st ODI double-ton while Imam-ul-Haq got his 100. Asif Ali made a quick 50 as well. PAK finally was able to score 399/1, just one run shy of 400.

Saeed Anwar's 194 against IND in 1997 was one of the best ODI innings I've watched especially because it was unthinkable to reach 200 at that time and I was keen on cricket. Over 20 years later, another LH opener broke that record today.

And where are our cricket heading? Upset me right away...

Their team is in hot form. Their Youngsters are grabbing the opportunity and making the best out of it unlike our dumba$$es. This coming asia cup, its definitely IND V PAK final - Pak might even win cause their bowling is superior than IND. Batting is clicking aswell.

Well, that's PAK cricket for you. If their batting clicks, they were always unstoppable. Whereas in our case, everything has to click. Even when our batting and bowling click, we may drop 3-4 catches and lose the match or our Batsmen may prematurely celebrate and lose the match.

Big Congrats for his double ton! Huge innings!
Now he can say, "Yeah?? Who is the Fakhar now?"

Very true, but yet you can't underestimate a double-ton, especially in a LOI format.

They do have players on strike due to corruption of their cricket board.

If you told me this 10 years ago I would have truly appreciated it with much gravity than I am at this moment.

Now I would be amazed if a double ton was made in T20Is

I understand your point.

But 10 years ago, there were no double-hundreds made.
If you take Rohit out of the list, there are only 5 other batsmen including Fathar who made 200+ in ODI's. Still an engrossing phenomenon to me.
