Default Monjural Islam Rana

Mridul, you didn't say that he is also a left hander!

Looks like that he is on the verge of becoming a Rafique - the batsman, that is (bowling not too bad, I must admit), at least that's what these following stats tells me, otherwise, he would not have a batting average of 32 in first class matches and a batting average of only 7.72 in list 'A' limited over matches.

Manjural Islam

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Full Name: Qazi Manjural Islam
Born: 4 May 1984, Khulna
Major Teams: Khulna Division.

Also Known As: Rana
Batting Style: Left Hand Bat
Bowling Style: Slow Left Arm Orthodox

Career Statistics:

LIST A LIMITED OVERS

I think Dave Whatmore should take a look at these 2 players - 41 and 47 runs is not too small an individual total against a full-strength English bowling attack.

At least, he can have some plan (in his power) to get them prepared to get into the BD National Team within the next 2 to 3 years.

Default Guess what this means from BBC\'s report of Rana

Quote:
He enjoyed plenty of joy against Blackwell before Paul Collingwood ended his fun.

Fwullah, Mazharul haq is good but Manjural Islam Rana is even better. He scored more runs than Nafis Iqbal in 2002/2003 first class league. Also he was the 3rd highest wicket-taker in that league.
