Zimbabwe suspend *themselves* from Tests
The interim board that is currently in charge of Zimbabwe cricket has chosen to suspend the national team from Test cricket until early next year.
The decision, which was announced at a meeting in Harare on Wednesday, means that Zimbabwe's two-Test tour of the Caribbean, scheduled for April and May, will now not take place, despite earlier assurances to the contrary from Peter Chingoka, the chairman.

Cause they can't form a team, lol. And even if they somehow form a team that team would lose to a U-17 team in WI. I am kind of sure the tri-series involving them will not happen. Just think of the Zim team with out Taibu playing in Bangladesh against Kenya.

The best team Zimbabwe could field at the moment would consist mainly of schoolboys. This is the best thing that could happen for Zimbabwe cricket.
Hopefully after a year, thing will be better. Some major changes will need to happen within the government though..

What does it mean for Bangladesh?
Will Bangladesh follow Zimbabwe's path in the future if we can't win a second test match in the near future?

I doubt it, there are so many internal problems for Zimbabwe cricket, and I think that was a large factor. Just recently I read that ZC didn't care if they lost Test status as a result of everything that has been happening.

This actually makes it far more likely that they will play Bangladesh as I suspect that the ICC will not agree to the suspension without conditions such as Zimbabwe actually playing other sides. Expect matches against Zimbabwe to follow, and they might even take part in the tri-series with Kenya now.
I would expect Bangladesh to thrash whatever side Zimbabwe gets out, and Kenya should also beat them on recent form.

We didnt have any test series scheduled against Zimbabwe this year anyways...... so no need to lose our sleep over it...... as long as they come back by next year, we will always get a chance to beat them again....
I think this decision makes it easier for them to send their Odi team to Bangladesh for tri-nation now....

tri nations can still happen....ZIM have not given up their ODI status, that is explicitly stated in CI's article.
they will play 5 ODIs against WI in may.

Should BD follow the Zimbabwe's suite?
Is there a merit to this for us also?
Is it good for them?
Or for ICC in general?
Do they have unilateral authority to suspend themselves?
Like hear from our foreign members.
