BTW, is that really SN in that picture? Cuz he looks a lot more "bheblakanto" in every other pic I saw of him. Even the TV interviews.

To my knowledge, josephites are the unique bunch of people who graduates from St joseph high school (mohammadpur). I know this because one of my all time fav music band (Warfaze) has members from St joseph .

it's a common bangladeshi trait, don't you think? our people always seem to have something stuck up their rear, which makes constipation a very appropriate word in this case :p

a completely generic comment, not aimed at any poster or anyone on this forum. just felt like saying it because you brought it up. i think light-heartedness and sense of humour are traits that are non-resident in the majority of the population, which is necessarily bad.

Default actually ...

if you go most Bangladeshi households before meat became such a staple - we are not a constipated nation. Growing up I never recall going to someone's house and seeing magazines and other reading materials in the bathroom as one would, say, in a Westerner's bathroom. With our vegetable heavy diet, the average Bangali (i.e. those who don't live in the city) is still probably not terribly constipated. There's is no doubt some correlation to that and the fact that we are rated as one of the happiest nations on earth.

BTW this thread is rapidly generating into an FC one

I can see a desperation in you to prove that sense of humor do exist with the mods but....u gotta do more buddy to prove ur point... How abt u start a poll. Provided that the poll is not rigged I am sure the majority will agree with me.

Just to make sure that this remains a cricket thread I would like to stress the fact that Shahriar nafees is originally 22-23 years old. I know that for a fact since I vaguely know one of his classmates. Sorry cant provide any sourse but i can assure you that it is not a rumor or nething and my info is 100% correct..

perhaps shehwar can confirm? 20/21 seems to be about the right age for a guy in third year, but you never know.

btw, who said the mods don't have a sense of humour? you've got dr Z with his air of cockiness and witty posts/write-ups ( i remember the piece on how body language varies over cultures); even razabq's kheladhula with idioms is pretty entertaining, imo. ahmed_b and oracle seem to be pretty cool guys too.

sure there are the uptight ones, and sometimes you gotta be uptight yourself to back up your peers (i.e. the uptight ones). btw, this doesn't go to say that the ones i havent mentioned are all uptight.

That is how we decide who becomes a mod and who does not. In a windowless conference room on the 18th floor of the BC corporate HQ in a yet to remain unknown city and country is where we make all mods go through the dreaded SOH* test. Implanted electrodes monitor bp, heartbeat, and the release of endorphins and like hormones. Candidates are subject to a barrage of Monty Python and SNL skits, read from excerpts from authors as varied as Anthony Leacock, Kingsley Amiss, PG Wodehouse, Anthony Burgess, Joesph Heller, Kurt Vonnegut, Terry Pratchett, Chris Genoa et al. Those with the lowest LASH* index are than inducted as a BC mod.

* Sense of Humor
* Lack Absolutely of any Sense of Humor index.

OBAdmin: Ok, this will be moved to FC anon.
