Test Matches
I will not be able to watch the ODI natches between Bangladesh and India because the matches start at 11:30 at night here. I will be able to stay up all night to watch the Test matches however. I'm pretty new to BC, so I have a question. What are Test matches? I understand they last 4 days but how many overs do each side play? What is a good score for Test matches?

It took me a while to understand draws truly. Why does a test match get to draw when teams have different total runs...lol...good old days

Draw??
Two teams battle it out in field for 5 straight days..and cant even come up with a result. Where in Athelics ( some cases)... they train for years and years, and all is gone in 10 secs in the field. Funny game cricket is.

Cricket is an English game, and - for the English - a fighting retreat to safety is a great national tradition ... Corunna, Dunkirk, Gallipoli, none of them were technically *wins*.
A draw provides incentive to fight on in a lost position - otherwise, Test matches would become the same as many one day games, where a side recognises that it cannot win and just gives up. The great fighting draw is an excellent thing - often, they are better games than a victory for one side or the other. In short, there is no such thing as a "win on points" in Cricket - you are either good enough to defeat the opposition, or you are not. Close doesnt count. Ian Whitchurch
