Our Squad for NZ\'s Tour!
As u can tell, I'm excited. CT has just started and we've not played one single game, but I'm talking about NZ squad! Well, the prospect of getting our bowlers back, and having some informed batsman is giving me some hope, so i'm exciting about how our team gonna look for that tournament. Better than the CT team in every depertment. Here is my 14 member team for NZ's tour. May be I'll make some changes depending on the performance in between.
For the TEST series:
01. Javed Omar
02. Mohammad Ashraful
03. Habibul Bashar
04. Rajin Saleh
05. Nafis Iqbal
06. Khaled Masud
07. Mohammad Rafique
08. Manjarul Rana
09. Abdur Rajjak
10. Aftab Ahmed/Faisal Hossain
11. Mushfiqur Rahman
12. Taposh Baisha
13. Masrafee Murtaza
14. Mohammad Sharif
position 13, 14 depends on if they are fit. But the last news says, they will be fit. I wanna keep them both so that none get over used. May be each playing one match only.
sujon will not be helpful in dhaka pitches and in test matches, his bowling is more of ODI kind.
depending on the CT performance Faisal or Aftab should be in the team. That way there will not be too much shuffling.
No auto recall for alok yet. Let him make his way thru. as we all know, he is actually lacking confidence, there is no point of bringinng him back without knowing if he's ready or not.
Team looks really good to me, what u think?

javed omar
nafiz iqbal
habibur bashar/c
rajin saleh/vc
mohammed ashraful
aftab ahmed
khaled mashud
mohammed rofique
abdur rajjak
taposh baishya
mazrafeel
shariar hussain
monjurul islam rana
talha jubair
they can be extra
but that should be the starting line up for bangladesh in the first test. i put extra batsman in first test bc dhaka pitch is more suitable for the batsman.
in oneday khaled mahmud and maybe alok kapali can replace two player. well i no team wont be exactly like this but if the test was rightnow then i believe this should be the team.

i did not think he is still ready. he got the pace, and will play for the team for a long long time in the future, but he still does not know how to use his pace.
well, for a quicky, the pace is everything that u need to have. rest, all the trick and treat, can be tought and learned. let him finish this process before rushing him into the team. they way i see it, for NZ tour, if masri and sharif can play one match each, that would be enough for our pace attack since we still have tapash, and we do not want to injure them again but putting pressure at the beginning.
eventually it all gonna be masri-shahadat opening pair, and probably talha as the first change.

Mushfique - an allrounder and pigs can fly!
My team for the two tests is: In batting order:
1) Javed Omar
2) Nafis Iqbal
3) Habibul Bashar
4) Rajin Saleh
5) Ash
6) Faisal Hussain/ Manjarul Rana/ Anyone*
7) Masud Pilot
8) Rafique
9) Abdur Razzaq
10) Mashrafe Mortaza
11) Tapash Baishya
........................
12th man : Talha
* 4 strike bowlers to take 20 wickets. Adding another military medium pace in Mushfique would not make any difference. Rajin and Bashar should turn their arms over to do fill-in job when one of those 4 bowlers operating at the other end. 3 SLA still doesn't make any sense to me even though one quality OB or LB could do wonders for us. Hence either Rana watches the game from the dressing room or take responsibilities to play as a batsman. For a realistic draw we need 6 batsman to pile up runs, hence 6 genuine batsmen, knowing the fact that Pilot and Rafique might score more than all of them again! Not sure if Aftab should get a test debut, but for 6th batsman spot Hannan could be another man, maybe. Or Faisal? He might survive with nominal footwork.
And ODIs
1) Javed Omar
2) Nafis Iqbal
3) Habibul Bashar
4) Rajin Saleh
5) Ash
6) Masud Pilot
7) Abdur Razzaq
8) Rafique
9) Mushfique / Mahmood / Talha**
10) Mashrafe Mortaza
11) Tapash Baishya
**It's absolutely right time stop calling Mushfique and Mahmood allrounder. And for first change bowling spot they have to fight with Talha. Depending on situation, only one of them will play.

1) Chinaman - Capt
2) fwullah - v c
3) unknown - keeper
4) pompus
5) habibul_fan
6) Agentsmith
7) billah
8) Navarene
9) Zephaniah
10) poorfan
11) bourney3
12) ghor_jamai
because they are performing 100 times better than bangladesh team

They are picking Razzaq because they didnt know that he hadnt been given the green light. Look at the dates and the dates of the Article that said that.

Hi guys!
Just wait for three more days and you get the preliminary BD team of 18 players for the NZ tour, then we can discuss in reality, what may be our best team.
The news came in The Daily Star as:
"The national selectors are expected to announce the team for Bangladesh's home series against New Zealand on September 24, a day before the camp starts.
The panel, led by chief selector Faruque Ahmed, looks set to name only 18 players for the preliminary squad after their first meeting yesterday at coach Dav Whatmore's residence.
It was learned that the selectors agreed not to make wholesale changes even after two disastrous tournaments in Sri Lanka and England.
The selectors will also have to announce the A team for New Zealand's warm-up tour opener in Dhaka but they will think about it when the training of the high performance unit resumes in early October.
Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak will definitely not be considered for the series as he will have to correct his bowling action under a review committee and Richard McInnes, the Australian coach for development who is also a bio-mechanic expert, according to sources."

Whatever and whoever in the team, the result is the only matter.
We go through this squad selection how many times? may be thousand times?
What difference does it make in case of BD, with these vulnerable batting and bowling line up?
I don't see any meaning of this lately, better just sit down and see what happened.

Hey, what's the big idea of giving me the vice captain's job?
I don't want to get dropped the minute I play bad.
