Cricket Anyonymous
Hi my name is Gopal and I am a cricket addict. I have been doing this since I was 14. Despite a family trauma, I have developed a feeling of guilt during time of glee when BD is doing well.. I have abused countless hours in BD Cricket only to get hurt even more.

Hi my name is Rommel. I'm 15 and I am a Bangladesh Cricket addict. However, if it wasn't for the match threads, I probably wouldn't watch the matches. Besides when the match is going bad, I always have other things to discuss on these match threads. People who were here last night know what I'm talkin about...

I've experimented with India. It's pretty harsh on my digestive system.

HI,My real name is shabbir.I think most of BC members will be half of my ages.I m now 33.I am watching/following BD cricket since 1985.I have seen countless premium league matches at Bangubondu stadium in my school and college days.In those days we not used to participate so many international matches, still cricketers was so passionate give their 100% for the national team which is really lacking in this present barring one or two players.

Hi,
My name's Nahaz, I'm 23 and I've been an avid cricket follower since about '93. I've seen Ash make 89 in the under-17 Asia cup final and since then have been following him. I always fantacised playing for my country, and finally started playing grade cricket last year to see how far I go. I am also a Cricket Australia certified umpire. I get cranky every time Bangladesh loses. I am all for giving players chances, as long as they are hard-working.
I have a dream.. I dream that one day before I'm too old, I'd see bangladesh win the World Cup and dominate the world. I also dream at hitting boycott for six and bowling out his mum.

hi.
my name is jawaad karim. i'm seventeen, in year twelve now (hsc year) and live in sydney. i've been following bd cricket since the fateful day when bangladesh beat pakistan. i remember, my dad bought pay tv just to watch bangladesh and i went to school that day. when i got home, the atmosphere was euphoric.
a few years after... my dad had lost all interest in bangladesh and it's cricket. ironically, the opposite happened to me. i became an avid follower and supporter and decided that in a few years, i'll be one of those men causing the euphoria. i'm going to play for bangladesh.
last year i received the 'best and fairest' for first grade cricket at sydney technical high.

Hi, my name is Mahmood and I used to be a Bangladesh-Cricket-holic. I have been sober for 18 months now, I had to take a long break from BD cricket and learn to not care. Once I achieved that, I was able to come back, and enjoy BD cricket when they play good and not care when they play bad. This works out wonderfully for me.

Hi,
My name is Mijan. I am cricket fan. I was a football fan first. The cricket teams that I followed the most was the West Indies. Viv is just a bad man (even now). Lloyd was good in captaincy. Disliked the English. Enjoyed the beat downs through radio in the hands of WI and Australia. May be we can hire Lloyd to speak to our boys for leadership purpose. If he is unavailable then get Steve Waugh. Best captain after Lloyd and Imran. Although Richards record speaks otherwise.
God Almighty has frozen my age at 27.

Hi, I can remember first real cricket thing was in 1978 series when probably Imran Khan was hitting Bedi several sixes (this experience was kinda 2nd hand as I saw my father and uncles were very excited in front of the radio). After that I started following cricket via radio, those days you need to be real good to pick up words from the noises generated those radios. Then started to get some picture by adding different stuffs to the tv antena ... and now here we are in the era of T20 and Ash.
These days I don't follow cricket much except BD cricket (U-13 to Team Ash) and it has become very stressfull given my age. Probably need to stop!

Sir,
I have been following cricket for 25 years. In Ranji Trophy, I support and closely follow a team that lost in the first round in 22 of those 25 years. Thus I was already quite experienced before becoming a Bangladesh supporter.

Hi There
This is Sadi. I am a cricket lover. I used to escape from undergrad classes in early days of BD cricket; even for test matches. I didn't appear in 5 final exams in total just to watch BD playing. That was a few years back though.
Still some times I used take leave from the office just to watch BD playing. Or pass the whole day in the office opening cricinfo live scoreboard.
Over last 9 years, I probably developed a cardiac disease. This is evident because each time I sit in front of the TV to watch BD playing, my pulse rate reaches 100+. BP reaches above 160/90.
My doctor advised me that if I would like to live longer then I need to stop watching BD play. But I failed to do that. Any solution from any one?

All in the plans.
A working highspeed internet connection and a small TV on the left side of my "to be grave". If you want I can make it a little wider. Hope BD don't lose the status.

Hi,
I am a fan of only a few things bangla (Bappi Da, Dayal Baba, Pagla Baba, Bangla Radio Comentary, BD Cricket team and my Pabna home). Only one among all of these gives me somewhat of a heartache - but by now i am battle hardened and don't get much affected or involved unlike in past.

Damn. I am jealous of your Bangla vocabulary (even though it revolves around Pabna most of the time). I still don't know even 10 words

I think DJ can be a good Bangla coach for you. Only suspecting that above 20% of those words will be 15+ rated.

Hi, I am following cricket since radio age. We had a big group of fanatics following cricket in my Cadet College. Was good fun & following Indian team in those days was as heartbreaking as BD today. BD failures ofcourse hurts more for obvious reasons.
May be I have abused many many years (Adding the hours) as well, but have also taken a lot of pleasure out of it. So no complains.
