Web Message board -which one and what version?

Perhaps one of the web admins can answer this..
are you all using phpbb or something else. We use phpnuke for our site and are thinking starting a similar forum. Last one we had was phpbb with php version 4.2 which had lots of security issues and we constantly got comment spams. Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

vBulletin is the best, however not free.

We use XMB 1.9 and we are happy with it.

You can also try invisionBoard.

yeah, CDFreaks Forum uses vBulletin and it rocks!

vBulletin is best but not free. But I think vbulletin is not good for slow connection. By this side XMB is good.
