Looper and Argo were alright. Standard fare really for their particular genres.

Curious to hear about people's feed on this.

When you mention "shooting parents infront of their kids" you fail to include one important point i.e "Parents are shooting at the soilders with their assault weapons too"
Also I also dont see racism in any way; this word gets thrown around too much these days without much logic...

As a disclaimer, the following reflects my opinion and not the website's.
Not that I am fundamentalist sympathizer but if I break into your house, you'd be shooting with assault weapons too in self defense.
They may be "scums" but still they deserve due process. THAT'S AMERICAN.
And CIA ain't exactly your Mother Teresa reincarnated. These same hypocrites wage war against drugs yet at the same time experimented LSD on soldiers back in the days.
As far as movie is concerned, it was extremely biased, represented a conservative "feel-good Black Hawk Down" sentiment with crap ending of op at the end where it was all dark and nothing was seen.
And yes, I do agree with you there was no hint of racism on that soldier's part. The guy who treated the prisoner like a dog but caressingly offered ice cream to a caged monkey.
So much emotion, not enough "logic". Sigh only if the world was black and white and if they spelled it out more, huh?

Silver Linings Playbook ( Rotten Tomatoes | IMDB)
This was such an enjoyable movie. The movie was well written and directed and rarely do you see most of the cast delivering such power punch performances. Hats off to Jennifer, Bradley, De Niro and co. Must watch!

^Great film. Although, I thought the second half was a bit of a let down in comparison to the first. Bradley Cooper has really come a long way.

Hahaha, these notion that west hates the Muslim is ludicrous. And sorry but expecting the solders to arrest while being shot at is just naive and funny at the same time. They were there to protect the world's no 1 terrorist, I shall never keep my children in the same house with a blood thirsty crazy man.

Seven Psychopaths ( IMDB | Rotten Tomatoes)
Interesting and crafty. Martin McDonagh gets Colin Farrell for this one. I was completely blown away during the first half of the movie. It was pure fun and exhilarating. Made me go nuts. Sadly, I didn't feel the same towards the end of the movie. But it was super fun!

Till now, I had never cried during any scene in any movie; but I did come to tears during Les Miserables...more than once

Cloud Atlas ( IMDB | Rotten Tomatoes)
A unique film! With the big cast and the huge ambition of the project, kudos to the director and the film crew for the attempt. I have mixed feelings about this movie but the pros outweigh the cons!

Yeah I'm really into this - i.e. more closer-to-life, non sensationalized/exaggerated portrayal in movies? Dollhouse was really good. SI was kinda meh for me.
I think It's kind of a funny story is quite fine in that aspect (movie isn't THAT great, but I like it for that fact) and MI is the central theme of the movie. Check it out. Then there's Lars and the real Girl, Garden State (I love this film), The Virgin Suicides.
Then to add to your list, i.e. more dramatized ones - there is Donny Darko, Secretary, Punch-Drunk Love, Funny Games (German>>>US), Black Swann/Requiem of a dream etc - I could go on with that list.

Yeah! he was the best - too bad they couldn't develop his character a bit further in Skyfall! But they did a good job! One crazy dude!

Yeah, I might get some flak for this, but I find Arnofsky's films a tad too pretentious for my liking. Maybe just me, obviously. DD is too good.

One of the best films I've seen of late with its unique approach towards the anti-war genre. BBT's best directorial work since SLING BLADE, one of my all-time favorite films.
