Default Hope Bangladesh fans don't behave like that

I hope Bangladesh fans never end up behaving the way Indians and Pakistanis do - it is most shameful that players' homes are attacked - I am Indian and I am bitterly disappointed with my team (not the first time), but I am equally disappointed by the way the fans behave (again not for the first time).

I hope Bangladesh fans remain sporting and supportive in the years ahead - your team will also have his good and bad moments.

Even if we loose to bermuda..we wont react like this..When we were beaten by canada in 03..we didnt do anything like this..I mean its so lame! If you cant do any good..dont discourage the players..I would never want be an indian player..why taking risk over my family? These things should be changed.Whats more disappointing is..ive seen a tv channel broadcasting a program ..headlining " Ap kisko bali charana chati hain is har ke bad? Dravid,Chappel or Sehwag? " In english " Who do u want to Sacrifice (Korbani!!) after this defeat ? Dravid,Chappel or Sehwag? " .. Telecasting this to the world? Damn.. what is going on in the minds of the players?.. After you score 10000 runs , a triple century for your team..thats what you get? just because you are beaten in "A" match.
Just not "our" type.
Long live the bangladesh fans!!

*There are indian fans who are different.

i came here to post a daily ittefaq article about the "protests" in india in VARIOUS different cities. this is so bad and so discouraging to the players. imagine how dhoni would feel when he hears that home has now become a target! half his mind will be thinking about his family's security when he is playing against SL. and the same goes for the whole team.

i hope b'desh fans never become like this.

Its just pure low...
these players give their lungs out day in day out...year after year..and thats what you get??

i know loosing to us is a massive shock them..quite understandable..
but that is no excuse to attack players house...

all they are doing is putting extra added burden on thier players, as if they needed any more at this stage..

and how do you play well knowing that you loved ones, family and friends, could be in danger...

but then again...its the action of a few illeterate ignorant alcohol-drug fuelled fan who makes it to the headlines...and puts the rest in shame...

i feel sorry for the indian players...
all i can hope for them .....

is to loose the next two matches and go home to face some more music!!
u loooooosers!!!

I can't imagine any true cricket fan doing this. It has more to do with nationalistic emotions then losing a cricket match.

It's great to hear some indian folks finally realizing how OVERhyped the whole Indian cricket team really was. One reason it has SHOCKED them so badly is the majority of their media never had to say anything good about BD. Like I said to one of the BD players today, reading 'Bishsho-kosh' or 'Anandabazar' created an impression in my mind that India is a superpower in soccer (imagine that). SInce BD was neck in neck with them, I thought we must be good too. Then the world cup qualifications came around and I got my first big sports SHOCK. I was only 12 when I grew up and realized - you can't always belive what you read in the media, specially the Indian media. Unfortunately, a whole lot of people in India are (and it's not always a bad thing) SO patriotic that they refuse to open up to the truth cause it will hurt like ....

Well, good thing is, some of them probably woke up from a long dream yesterday.

This could have been easily avoided by saying that Bangladesh have improved leaps and bounds, they have beaten us before (see, that shoudn't have been shrouded with the lies of not fielding their main side - ie, Tendulkar and Dravid only) and we should expect a tough fight. NOPE, they simply decided to go with the BS of Bangla who ? Oh, another thing, maybe they will learn to write BanglaDESH from now on. It's not like they share three sides of our border and have known us since our Independence. Shokter bhokto, noromer Jom. They would never do that to the US or China. Just because we are weak militarilly.

By the way, I have seen some of the Bangladeshi folks during the match yesterday. Yes, they were cheering and everything even thought they had NO idea who some of the players were and how good they were. I won't be surprised if they do the same as this idiots have done if we lose to Bermuda. Specially in a couple of years, when we become one of the regular top 5/6 teams.

We have seen the worst, our team lost to Canada and Kenya in the last world cup. We were in the bottom of the hole. I guess when we ascend in the cricketing ladders and people praise the team's abilities and our own expectations go skyrocket, then it will be the same as indian fans back home. The higher you go the dramatic the fall.

When Bangladesh lost Canada, we did no such thing.

When the WC 2003 probe report came out and it was clear the Pilot was to be blamed, again, we did no such thing.

C_B,
did we do anything such violent after our loss to Canada in 2003 or when Masri gave 16 runs in a over.
we are much mature supporters as a group than the indians or pakistanies

I work for HP Executive Case Management. I get this escalation, the gentleman happen to be calling from India, He is also an HP employee. I asked him if he was following Cricket. He said he was. I asked him the match between India and Bangladesh. He started to talk all this crap about how the match was a fluke. When I said I was from Bangladesh, he hung up on me. LOL ☺

To Avoid This Situation, We, The Supporters have to be Very Practical and Well Known about Cricket. We Should Know, What is The Real Situation, Why Our Team is Loosing or Who is The Real Guilty? Otherwise Our Future Can be Just Like Todays Indians.
