Default This is bad planning

Australia really has only one world class bowler and that is McGrath. Smart decision would be to not try any big shot in his overs. Instead, now we have given him 2 big catches!

Stupid!!!

We are not prepared at all for 20-20. Things could've been different if it was a 50 over match.

Rafiq should have gone in, not Rahim. They should have started to slog around 15th over, instead they started at over 19. The sooner Bashar could get out would have been better. We sabved 4 wickets that we did not need to, no D/L to cash those in.

All bad planning so far.

We don't want any thing from Bashar. He is over. He should be sacked. I am too much frustated by his looser mentality.

bashar and sakib lacks power. shows why sakib scored so many runs against minnows becase he can flash in loose deliveres but he will be choked for scoring by top quality teams as he doesnt know what to do with good deliveries.

bashar should have got out 4 -5 overs earlier, ran himself out or something as he doesnt seem to have the power to lift the ball to get caught. there were several clear 2s where he just ran 1 and almost cause jeers in the crowd. and sending mushfiq in the last over when it should be rafiq(anyone will tell u that) shows DW/Faruq lacks common sense.

Rite Mahmood Bhai,
Dont noe hw Rahim came in. May be Rafique dint want to bat or as he not in touch they let Rahim came.
Bashar is a pathetic batsman. He should just stop playing ODI's and make way fro some other youngster becasue he cant rotate the strike niether can he hit big shots. He should have tired to get out purposely whn he noticed he was giving dot balls and he was finding it difficult to take even a run as all his shots went straight to the fielder. If he was out earlier our score wld have moved.

After watching the complete matach, I have to admit that we are well behind in power play. Our batsman deffinitely don't have the power to blast the cricket ball like Aussies can. We can't blame them for not being able to clear the the ground but at least they should have hitted few more bounderies. Regarding the game plan, I completely agree with Mahmood that we should not have targeted Macgrath so early. He is too good for a new batsman. Top 4 wickets were too costly and all 4 of them were just gift. Yes, there would be gifted wickets in shorter version of the game but that just was not gifted on a proper way.......specially ashraful and tamim's out. Aftab's out was just a superb catch.

I agree with spitfire.

22 overs is just like lottery.

BD would have lost 50 over game too, but may be they would have done a little better.

I agree with you, even a 30 over match could have been better. Bangladesh played only one 20-20 match and lack of experience costed us the early wickets.

^Kamnew are you kidding?

22 overs is just like lottery, bd or australia would have equal chance in it.
in 50 overs , we would have had NO chance at All, ALL sorts of world records will have been broken, thank your lucky stars, rain intervened OR ELSE aussies would have scored another 300+ innnings on the trot, maybe 400+ this time, who knows?

all the commentators before the match was also saying a shorter version of the game is an equalizer it diminshes the distance between two teams separated by a huge gulf in class. that's why bermuda had a sniff of a chance against us, took 3 early wickets even! because the game was reduced to 21 overs, in a 50 over match, we would've most probably run through their defences

^^miraz, lack of experience is NO excuse, otherwise INdia is the most experienced team in the tourney, and we kicked their @$$ for sure. but aussies aren't the most experienced team, and they kicked bd's.

and if we want an experienced team, we'll have to play another 200+ matches, surely you don't want us to keep losing all this while, do you?

I have said this before about Tamim and others, don't try to slog, look at the ball and play to it's merit, don't just demerit all the good ones and get out trying to hit the wrong ball. I just think we had the best opportunity to create a major upset today, instead we were walloped. Bashar wants to model Australia as the future bangladesh cricket team, I think they have got their best lesson today.

Tigers JUST LEARN FROM THE AUSSIES

Absolute;y lack of game planning & prep. Everyone lloked nervous. You could feel, nobody was timing except Aftab and Mashrafee a few. People just forgot about singles. And again top order failure. A little bit of resistance at the top could change the attitude of the team. Well i have talked enough on the opening slot probably.

Cheers for next match.......
