First thing he said when he landed dhaka was that india will play hard hard game. its not just what he says, its the way he says on tv.

Off course he's playing mind games. If you thaught otherwise, then I must say you're pretty new to this. This has been going on for a long time now. Aussies have perfected this to an art form.

But I must say, Shastri's already proving to be a better coach/manager than Chappell.

AND MIND INDIA WAS STRUGGLING BADLY AT ONE STAGE..Asoka wasnt playing for India at the world cup..and we didnt missed out easy run out chances.
India played medicore cricket..but yeah Karthik played very well..and he actually steered it for them..or else Dhoni coudnt have done it.

Actually all this tough talk shows how far BD cricket has progressed. Only a couple of years ago these people would've said somthing very condescending like, "we're not taking Bangladesh lightly", or "they have a few talented cricketers" etc. But now they feel the need to play these mind games. As a Bangladesh cricket fan I would take it as a distinct compliment.

Well whatever shastri's doing......i like it. No big team has ever played mind games against bangladesh before. It shows how much respect we've gained. Plus......it'd be fun to shut shastri up when we kick some indian behinds!
