Yes he is. The man's been beating his own records over and over, the latest instance being a day after he'd broken the OR in the heats.
Going to miss Thorpedo though. Was my favorite.

Swimming, Volleyball(not beach), and field hockey are the best Olympic sports.

IMO, this is possibly the greatest relay race in history.Just check #8 British team's timing that would have probably won them gold in Athens!!
BTW, Lezak's staggering 46.06s is the fastest relay leg in history though it doesn't count as an official record.
Quote:
PHELPS Michael 47.51
WEBER-GALE Garrett 47.02
JONES Cullen 47.65
LEZAK Jason 46.06

Congrats to Indian Shooter Bindra for winning the gold medal and making history for his country.
He is the first Indian to win an individual gold medal in the olympics.
The whole of india must be proud of him.
Our very own Mohammad Asif beat him, i think in Commonwealth games back in 2002. Now Asif is nowhere to be found,( ref: beaten up by cops for no good reason) and this Bindra fella goes on to win Gold in olympics.
Such is the state of our sports.

He was. but after few months every thing seems Ok and he decided to start again. Then BD Olympic federation send him to china for long term training for olympic preparation but after 2-3 months his training academy (in china) send him back coz his score was too low and he was not following their instruction and stuff!! it was on the newspaper.....quite shameful I must say! even he didn't qualify for this olympic. sad story as usual

It was a delight to watch. In a race to return the serve, they were actually colliding with one another to the sand..anyway..have a good day..

Medal Standings Total
1 CHN 13 3 4 20
2 USA 7 7 8 22
3 KOR 5 6 1 12
4 GER 4 1 1 6
5 ITA 3 4 2 9
China still leading the pack with 13 golds, though US is ahead in terms of total medals.
The Chinese needs to make the most of it till the track and field starts.
After that, the americans would sprint to the top.
Korea is a surprising name at no.3
Where is Australia this year? They bagged 17 golds last time, this time 3 2 5 so far.
C'mon Aussies.
Phelp is a freak-show. Hope he gets his 8 this year.
