An Awami league government in power after December?
The Awami league recently won local elections in the country.
Many have been saying that the CTG in reality supports them.
Anyway if there is an Awami league government in power after the national elections, what does it mean for the country?
1. Our economy including the anti-corruption campaign and general misgovernance & corruption.
2. Relations with India which has been murdering our civilians on the border regularly.
3. The army, how will the new government treat them?
4. Relations between the BNP and BAL.
5. Everything and anything else.

Rumour says that negotiation's going on to have Moeen as President and have one National Govt including members of most parties (not only AL). Don't know how it's gonna happen thru election though.
If this happens current CTG would be safe from being touched. Rumour might just be a rumour - till now it's not validated by press or any1 else.

Ask those question to yourself first, then share, before asking for others.

It is my choice what I decide to do. The fact that I ask others suggests that I have respect for their opinions and value them.
Thanks guys for your posts. Hopefully if there is some cross-party government that would be good.
We will have to wait and see what happens.
This "rumour" is it from relatively informed contacts/relatives in Dhaka?

Local Election result does not represent national election. In chittagong, BNP never won local election but every time won national election including 96. Same goes for Sylhet. On the other hand in Khulna BAL usually won national election but fail to win local election. And pls remember BNP officially did not participate. Anyway, does it matter; যাহাই লাউ তাহাই কদু।for us.

Well, apparently ( rumours i've also heard) AL would be in power come next election.
The initial deal is to keep Hasina away from power and the AL would have to form a govt without her.
Im sure there is something for General Moeen and Gong. After all, if they are not, you think these haiyena's (is that spelled right?) would let the "advisors" in one piece?
But since AL had an overwhelming victory in the local election, i see them having more bargaining power now in the table with the CTG.
This govt had started on a good note but lost their way when they tried to chew more than they could, ie, coming hard on the business community.
With few corrections, i believe they are far from finished and should continue in the mould of a democraticly elected govt.

The ball is in AL's court now. Like sore losers ( i mean both parties) BNP again failed to accept its defeat. Neways personally i do not think that the trend will change. AL will be the winners of the national election. I guess BNP handed them the victory by its unchecked policy on corruption. I only hope that AL learned something from history and does a better job in ruling the country than its predessessors .

What election? When, how, where? I didn't hear anything?
Couldn't care less which party comes to power now. AL will rape the country once again. So will BNP. It has to start somewhere...so let it start. We'll figure out the rest in due time.
