Proof reading

May be we should all extend our helping hand a little further, and help each other with necessary things. Let me propose this initiative where we can come to each other's help.

I am currently completing my dissertation report, which is more than 100 pages long. It's on web design and guidelines, and involves many diagrams (comprising at least 30 pages). I need to get it proof-read by a fellow member.

Instructions for proof-reading: Check for
- Consistency in grammar, style, punctuation, etc
- Flow of paper
- Tense
- Usage of important terms
- Structure of the paper
- Referencing to figures and diagrams
- Spelling
- Numbering of sections, diagrams, etc

If anyone's available and interested, please PM me. I will be very grateful

I hope we can start helping each other through this. I am ready to help anyone who needs to get their papers proof-read.

Do you have access to turnitin.com? They check APA style and Plagiarism too. I would have loved to do it but right now but too many papers to grade and not enough time.

Yup, I know of site. We used to use it during undergrad and early grad school. I'll give it a shot again there.

bengaliprince, you should go to a student careers advisor (like Connexions) to help you with your personal statement. By face to face discussion about your chosen course, why you chose it, why have you chosen the particular educational instituitions you've applied to, what is your career plan, ambitions, life and work experiences that you can help you towards that goal, what are your interests, etc, you'll be able to prepare a good personal statement. After you've done that, send me a copy, I'll read it and gladly give you my take on it.

Tiger's Eye- A personal statement is best defined as a document that allows you to show off why your suited for the course u want to pick at a higher level of education.

Kabir- I'm not sure what a letter of intent is....lol, but i think it may be slightly different, not quite a letter but it is intended to show off your abilities, your skills and how you have proved your interest.

Hatebreed- thanks a bunch bro! i'll find someone to help me, my parents have looked at my first draft, its far too long!i got characters and words mixed up in terms of limit!

i'll need to work on it. I'll let u know when im done, providing u have the time to check it of course. Thanks for the advice!

When I took English 104, some students in our class claimed to the professor that they deceived turnitin.com.

And TE bhai, if you create an account in turnitin, your students themselves can upload their documents.

The comment was meant for Kabir.

My students have total access to turnitin.com and I make it mandatory for them to send there first before submitting the papers to me. Sometimes when the student count is low I require them to submit both before and after papers. My students are all adult learners and professionals doing their MBAs. Then can take an "order" properly.

Plagiarism (not citing) is a big issue nowadays. There are websites where one can buy untracable ready made papers even. Amra jodi choli daley daley ora choley patai patai.

What a wonderful melody. May be you can make this poem in to a song!! She may love you more.
