thanks, Parvez, I was always heavily focusing on youth I always tried to keep this balance between youth and senior team, but you see this approach had a price. i missed out on promotions many times before due to my own strategic blunder. I was quite surprised to see my team doing fairly well, when majority of the teams in our youth league had at least one player who is national team material! I had none.

U19 world cup will start within couple of hours. In last two OD leagues we were 3rd in both places. Our team is not top notch but well balanced. And thats the reason we successfully kept our ranking among the good teams. We will play all our 5 matches in bowling pitches(3 sticky) so Tonoy Dildar(our best bowler) has to play a very important role there or will be more difficult to go through.
So just pray and hope for the best

Good luck Parvez. I am also supporting the Indian team since both my players(Sourav Ganguly, Zaheer Khan) were selected. In fact, they are both playing the first match.

Deviprasada Sorabhjee (Indian...18 yrs old Wrist spinner)
AngeIo Mathews (Srilankan..17 YRS OLD AR...GREAT PLAYER ALREADY AT AGE OF ONLY 17)

2 of them played today; Sully for Ireland & Matthew for SL.
Sully scored a run a ball 52 and as usual fails to convert it into big ones.
And Matthew gets MOM award for his 4 wk haul in his debut
A. Mathews 10-1-34-4
++++++++++++++
Its time for Hunt & Sorabhjee to shine tomorrow

Sorry guys. Horrible performances by our U19 bowlers. Fast seamers and lower order batting was the weakest part from last 4 months. But one fast bowler "Tonoy Dildar" performed better than any bowlers BD U19 team ever had. He took 27 ODI wickets from just 9 youth Nat matches before WC. But he failed miserably in the WC, has taken only 4 wickets in 4 matches where pitch and condition were for seam bowlers. As we had no other top quality seam bowler, Tonoy's abysmal performance has ruined our WC or two more wins could be on card Our top order batsmen batted bravely in 4 matches without any lower order support.
Hopefully Bangladesh will bounce back with new team in this new season. Btw our allrounder department will be one the best in this season among all nations.

Wasn't our best World Cup both in terms of performance and available players, there's usually a few weaker areas for each of the U19 squads. 19yo Priddis the 2nd highest wage after the EOS updates in the touring squad, not enough decent now 20yos.
Well done parvez in leading the U19 team, kept fighting against the slightly better squads around and keeping the squad progressing. Hopefully others can still keep the great U19 players coming for Bangladesh for seasons to come.
I won't be going anywhere and will keep a few players to be trained well, hope I can pull them rather than having to buy them!
The elections could be interesting again or could be quiet, depending on the interest. Going for a third term is a long time, don't know if you are willing to go again parvez, nothing against the prior management but I like to see the job "fresh" and have someone else have a go at leading the team and we get behind them and support them.
Just hope there is no "ring-ins" that come directly from supporting another nation and nominate for this position, just looking for a Nat. Manager job.
Also, I will keep my Thursdays free this season.

Got a very lucky win today against Akib. After couple of seasons I was lucky in a match. Game totally gone from me when Kay(old ball bowler) has given 16 runs in an over and felt another stupid game going against me but the 49th over changed the match completely. Match engine is totally weird from last two seasons.

I am not planning to participate in the election, I may put my name forward if no one else does. Will wait to see if anyone else would like to take up an opportunity if they have the extra time.
Thanks, I have accepted the invite.
I can play younger players, can I? Say my 22 and 23yos.
Priddis is currently my 6th best bat, ignoring my 2 keepers.

Great game man. A 1 run loss hurts.
BD SPARK Tiger Cubs
Batting - Top Order: 13,521 11,890
Batting - Middle Order: 11,445 9,803
Batting - Tail: 4,874 3,532
Bowling - Seam: 12,703 (6) 10,746 (4)
Bowling - Spin: 14,331 (4) 11,879 (6)
Fielding/Keeping: 12,084 11,758
Overall: 217,504 189,769
Lets just say it was a epic collapse . All runouts.... The match engine is just messed.... Your fielding is only marginally better than mine....
End of over 48 (7 runs) - Tiger Cubs(255-5). 5 runs required from 2 overs. RR 5.31 RRR 2.50
B. Butler 64 (60b), A. Akib 29 (37b) , P. Chawla 9-0-42-1
48.1 W Kay to Akib : Cracking shot! No wait it's a wicket! Akib smashes the ball down the ground and sets off for a single. Mid on appears from no where, Butler sends Akib back, but it's too late. A direct hit from Lloyd has Akib shaking his head as he takes the long, lonely walk back to the pavilion.
A. Akib run out (C. Lloyd) 29 (38b 0x4 0x6) SR:76.32
48.2 1 Kay to Mashud : 1 run, easy single down the ground.
48.3 1 Kay to Butler : Worked around to fine leg, Sharma quickly onto the ball.
48.4 . Kay to Mashud : Nips back off the seam from a good length. The ball has lodged itself in the top of Mashud's pad and he nods to the umpire before reaching for the ball and tossing it to Blade.
48.5 W Kay to Mashud : Well, now we know why Mashud is never sent out as a runner!
P. Mashud run out (G. Sarducci) 1 (3b 0x4 0x6) SR:33.33
48.6 W Kay to Hossein : [runout] Hossein inside-edged the ball onto his pads and it bounced away towards Dickinson at square leg. Butler set off for the run immediately, but Hossein wasn't interested. Dickinson had ample time to aim and throw down the stumps. Hossein's slight hesitation cost him his wicket.
T. Hossein run out (L. Dickinson) 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
End of over 49 (2 runs) - Tiger Cubs(257-8). 3 runs required from 1 overs. RR 5.24 RRR 3.00
G. Hayes 0 (0b), B. Butler 65 (61b) , S. Kay 10-1-70-1
49.1 1 Chawla to Butler : Very full, Butler flips it firmly down the ground and scampers through for a single.
49.2 . Chawla to Hayes : [great fielding] Gets a good stride in, but drills it straight to Minagall at mid off who makes a smart tumbling stop.
49.3 W Chawla to Hayes : [runout] Conflicting decision by Hayes and Butler shows a flaw in democracy when one says no, and the other says yes - worse when they're both in the middle of the pitch. Hayes takes responsibility as Akers strikes the bails.
G. Hayes run out (A. Blade) 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
49.4 . Chawla to Asghar : That one turned back sharply. Asghar defends it to the off-side.
49.5 W Chawla to Asghar : Well, now we know why Asghar is never sent out as a runner!
N. Asghar run out (J. Minagall) 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
End of over 50 (1 run) - Tiger Cubs(258-10). 2 runs required from 0 overs. RR 5.16 RRR 0.00
B. Butler 66 (62b), P. Chawla 9.5-0-43-1
Result: BD SPARK won by 1 run
Toss: BD SPARK won the toss and elected to bat.
Man of the match: Bruce Butler (3 points), Naimur Asghar (2), Ger Hayes (1)
Top three players were all mine

wow! this is something...
But its good that it was a friendly. I myself have lost at least 4 titles because of match engine weirdness. After hearing loosing 8 wickets for 48 runs on hard with a req run rate of 4 is not a collapse in the match engine analysis forum I stopped talking about it for a while...
there was 4 runouts then with having 1.3k+ fielding advantage...very close to Akib's 5...
when the r*** is inevitable let's enjoy it...
