Bdesh refuses to reschedule Pakistan series

http://cricketnext.in.com/news/bdesh.../37519-13.html

Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board is now facing scheduling problems with Bangladesh as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has refused to bring ahead the dates of the proposed one-day series between the two sides.

The PCB had asked their Bangladeshi counterparts to reschedule the five-match ODI series which is supposed to get underway in Dhaka on March 3 because it could clash with a Test series against Sri Lanka, but it (BCB) was refused saying that it will be hosting a major domestic event next month.

Pakistan is scheduled to host Sri Lanka in a two match Test-series in February-March, but the dates of the matches have still not been announced by the PCB.

"The idea was to go to Bangladesh for the five-match series and then return in time to host Sri Lanka for two Tests to be played in February-March," The News quoted a source in the PCB, as saying.

Pakistan had invited Sri Lanka to play in a Test and one day international series after the Indian government refused to allow the cricket team to tour Pakistan citing security reasons in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks.

I fully support BCB on this issue. Our national team had a hectic schedule this winter, they need a break from international cricket. Also, the standard of domestic cricket has gone to gutters because of the prolonged absence of national cricketers (plus ICL exodus).

i do hope the series goes on, and kudos to the BCB standing up to someone, even if it is the toothless PCB.

we really need a series agaisnt a relatively weak G8 side like PAK, its not everyday we get 5 ODIs against a top side at home.

thanks again to the BCCI for screwing everything up.

Against Sril it was easier but against Pak it can get a bit difficult.
Because Sril batting was terrible but Pak got a better batting line up.

Sohail Tanvir is a trundler. He only gets wickets because of his unorthodox action. Now that most batsmen have figured him out he is struggling badly. I am not too worried about him, Tamim hammered him and hopefully the other players won't have problems as well.

Actor is not fit (there's a surprise) and Asif is banned

This time BCB should do the opposite prepare full turning pitches for all the matches. So that any pacer they bring will flop. They don't have any good spinners, both Kaneria and Afridi are crap.

We should definetely win one match this series and if lucky 2.

I would still be happy if the result is 1-4 provided that we fight good in all the matches.

For next 1 year, I will be happy with 1 win per series against the major teams.

Just a month to tune your engine for big show boys. Some failed BD players should seek advice from Riyad how he practised hard and got himself back in contention and playing very well. Player should treat Dhaka Premiere League seriously and get as many run as possible.
