Yeah...it was gr8 to see that. If my memory serves me right then Ash also came in ESPN's posters a few years back when ESPN-STAR had the tv rights of BD matches.

The batting was excellent...the bowling and the fielding let us down today. The last 5 ovs were crucial. We need sme powerful batsman who can hit the ball a long way.And raj shld be brought bck instead of rasel. GUD LUCK!!!!!!!!

If we really stucked with the experience then Mushy wouldn't have seen these international arena till now. then we could have Khaled Mashud still now. no keeper got even close to his experience. But still we left him behind for new face Mushy in the world cup 2007, didn't we??? Mushy is not a T20 player. and if you really want to play Mushy and Roqibul. then i suggest them to play on the 3 or 4 position. cause on that time we don't need hitting. that time we can keep the scoreboard running and keep the wickets intact. but you know we already got good players there like Sakib, Riyad and Ash. so you think that is it bad to give a chance to Mithun??? i don't think so.

excellent batting performance barring last few overs but not so good bowling.
though, I don't think bowling was as bad as people here are saying as this was a belter of a pitch.
I loved the fearless assault by tamim ! (couldn't watch the rest of the match)
tamim played like a billionaire !

Bracken swung it back with three singles in the sixth over, but Shakib and Ashraful took boundaries off David Hussey; Tamim's sweep was forceful while Ashraful's reverse-paddle was gentle.
In the next over Tamim paddled and drove James Hopes for boundaries and Ashraful sliced to third man. Following Ashraful's dismissal for 26 to the first ball of Johnson's next spell, Shakib clubbed Symonds' first two deliveries for six, survived a stumping, and promptly creamed four through extra cover. His half-century needed just 25 deliveries.

Yeap. Tamim plays like a billionaire, that's why he's gifted his wicket to poor Brett Lee.

i completely agree. plus u will notice that domestically mushfiq has played a few good 20-20 knocks and against netherlands he hit a 8 ball 24, so the little man can hit big. mithun hasnt been given enough chances but i would rather not lose a stable batsman to try a newbie in an important tournament
btw nice to junaid at least not going for a single figure today.

Yes,Tamim's played some outstanding shots, showing how gutsy he is.
And sSAkib showing why he is No.1 allrounder, top scorer of the match & most econmcl BD bwlr.
If we compare the shots played by both teams then we did far better than Aussies.

This match confirms what we've always known:
1) Our bowling is cannon fodder on flat pitches
2) We have a weaker bowling attack this time around: Razzak & Rasel's demise cannot be understated
3) When given free reign, our fearless batting can thwack anyone!
4) We didn't take enough singles
5) We need to wake out of our fielding funk ASAP.
6) We are sorely missing an Aftab/Kapali in the late middle order.
Having said that I really don't want to criticize the batting much. We HAVE to figure out the bowling. Rohit Sharma creames Masree in IPL and he creamed NZ today. Dhoni, Raina, et al will murder our bowling if we don't watch out!

Bowling is now concern ....all of a sudden Mash, Rasel, Razzaq lost their forms...Ash also should shut up being confident...good game today but still Aussie wins 'comfortably'...Junaid, Mushfiq, Rakib are getting into the nerves as they can't score more than 20 runs anymore. I doubt BCB will bring any one from Aftab/Kapali or similar replacements at this point.

Mashrafee, Rasel, Razzak, Naem all lost their forms again...our players have a tendency to loose forms before the big events.
