Everything is fine except just one thing,
I am too scared about BD's success. IanW is this hyped up before the series', I just wonder how will he react once we win the games :P.
Jokes apart, Mash said after the Zim series, that he is still feeling pain. And winning against ZIm didn't meant anything, we played then 14 times this year, beat em 10 times. So we could have easily gone without Mash. I just hope he is back for the Tri Nation, success in ODI will be hard to come without Mash's service

Beshideshi,

"And winning against ZIm didn't meant anything, we played then 14 times this year, beat em 10 times."

Nope. It did mean something. It meant the Tigers got practice at learning how to win.

I'm going to quote something from Simon Mann's article from back in '03

"Bangladesh could not cope with how quickly the game was slipping away from them. They are not used to winning - or even drawing - and it showed. "

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cric...03/3213391.stm

Yeah, well, just like the Tigers got winning practice against Scotland before the World Cup in '07, they spent '09 practicing how to win against the West Indies and Zimbabwe.

This team now knows how to win. They won games this year that older editions of the team would have let slip away.

We came close in some big games in the past, but didnt know how to win.

If there is one thing Sakib knows, it is how to win.

I think turners! Mashrafi and Shahadat/Rubel will almost have the same effect but our spinners will come into play. India doesnt have Kumble and I feel our spinners are better.

India definitely have the better batting lineup, but if they crack they will crack against spinners, trust me. I would keep the same lineup which was in WI, maybe SN can come in place of junaid/imrul.

Ian I am not saying that it didn't mean anything. We got the confidence to excel in 2007 WC by beating teams like Bermuda, Namibia. There is no denying that.
I might have headed towards the wrong direction in my last post, I meant that BD was a good enough team without mash to beat Zim. and we have proven that, there was no point in risking our ace pacer in a series which is like an ant compared to the elephant, which is the Ind/SL tri series and Eng series

It is crunch time for the Tigers guys, no doubt about it....we have got to make it now during this crucial passage! We really need to register wins in a few of those test matches and the ODIs, no doubt!!

How about making this a sticky until we play the last of the seven Test matches. And lets keep all the negative energies away from this thread.

I will settle for 5 draws and 2 losses (not innins) ...

I think Bangladesh are not capable of many draws. Draws require great application and the mindset over 230+ overs, and the bowlers have to keep to line and length for 150+ overs. I say 3 wins out of 7 is more plausible. A score of 2 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses will make me very happy, esp if we win a series against India.
