Even if he gets an IPL contract, they play in March, but then I think BD is busy at that time, so I guess even Ash and Mash might not be available for the next IPL.

''In truth it had become an epidemic and had reached a stage where if we saw a finger spinner, rather than look at how good he was, we were overjoyed that he actually bowled with a straight arm. That is exactly the feeling I had when I first saw Shakib Al Hasan, the talented Bangladeshi cricketer. That he was a good bowler was almost secondary; that he didn't bend his arm was a surprise. ''

"Ray Price is a left-arm spinner .......... After three-and-a-half seasons, and in spite of his excellence in the one-day format, he rejected a new contract with Worcestershire for 2008."
This is from CI's page on Ray Price. He played for the suace team and then quit. Interesting that the Sauce is opting for another SLA but with better batting skills.

just noting that Ray price doesnt count as an overseas, he counts as kolkpak.

I hope and pray Shakib will NOT be used as a transfer bait by Worcestershire.

Best thing to come out of this is he gets to practise in conditions not condusive to spinning
How and why do you think Dan vettori developed all his variation?

Congrats Sakib. Well deserved.
Did any of you read the comment in the link posted in the opening post of this thread? One guy asks "am I missing something here?"...jokes, just jokes.

So a county player plays 20, 40 over games and 15/16 4 day games in a season. 15/16 T20 format games. Nice balance. Thanks Abu Yusuf once again.
