Hoping to be at the Kitchener City Hall when the torch comes to town.
And yeah, the hockey gold medal is ours.

I will be watching the hockey for sure. Don't have any rooting interest. Probably will end up supporting teams with most Pens on it. Canada first, Russia second , US third probably..

Olympic Hockey is the most entertaining Hockey in the World, no commercials, no stoppages. Much more Up tempo, You get to see the brilliance on both ends.
Ofcourse the Main Event Ladies Figure Skating too bad Michelle Kwan decided not to try one more time.

Canada just announced their roster. Not too many surprises, though the likes of Bergeron, Morrow making it was a bit of a surprise. Phaneuf, Jay Bo, Green missed it as well. This Doughty must be real good. I think Pronger got in on reputation. He hasn't been that good. Scary line projections :
Nash-Crosby-Iginla
Heatley- Thornton- Marleau
Perry-Getzlaf-Eric Staal
Bergeron-Richards-Morrow
Toews.

Vancouver Winter Olympic 2010 starts in less than three hours...here is the CTV theme song: "I Believe" by Nikki. Very nice...

Sad to see a death. He worked so hard to get there and to be killed network hours before is quite tragic. Hopefully there will be a moment of silence during the ceremony. Sometimes it's easy too lose sight of how dangerous these sports can get.

Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010
What a moment. Watching it live right now. I missed out heavily on this, could have gone there, but didn't have the ability to make early plans.
Obayed bhai is in Vancouver. I'm hoping some of our members have been able to make it there. Please share your experiences, photos, videos, or anything else you have for the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010.

Let us also pay respect to Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, who died today while practicing. Kumaritashvili was coming around the final 270-degree turn, where speeds approach 140 kilometres an hour, when he flipped off his sled and flew into a metal pole.

From what I know, this is only the second Olympian to die during Olympics? Is that true?

Damn...apologies for the duplicate thread. Thanks for the merge.
Wondering - if Ghana can make it to Olympics, why not Bangladesh?
