While I doubt Sehwag upheld dignity, honor or...class...during his pre AND post match interviews, the sort of pomposity that has tainted india's image for years, it was still a well fought game.
I should be grateful we had one good bowling innings, and shades of batting greatness from a few of our players. All in all, at the end of it all, we were only about 100 off from taking it, so it was a brave effort.
Maybe next game comes the big surprise.....

The three centurions, 5 wicket haulers. Well done. Waiting for the 2011 WC openning game. With interest we will dish it out. Just wait till the real Tiger makes his grand comeback.

We will burn his effigy and probably put some graffiti on his house-walls.
And personally, i support effigy burning. I wonder why so many people have problems against such a nice way to express anger

Sorry, but I don't think it was much of a fight. We dominated only one day - the first day of the match, rest of the match was very much in India's control.

original/written name was chatto-gram. chittagong/chatgaon is how it is said in the dialect.

I followed most of this test. Really had some pleasant memories with my family while following....like giving a proper TEST lesson to both women in our Dhaka home....my amma and my wife!! It was fun watching this test with them. My abba always gets angry like Fazal mamu when Ash gets out cheaply (in most cases). It was fun time. Wish the outcome would be in our way. Hopefully we will do it @SBNS.
Congrats India and her fans by the way.

Exactly, until we learn how to bat for an extensive period it will be always the case and our bowling was ordinary in the 2nd innings, we leaked runs all over the place. Ind managed to score almost 5 runs an over and maintained solid partnership as if we’re relying on our luck. IMO apart from few individual performance overall it was poor showing by tigers.

pitch got much flatter in the afternoon.. it was our top and middle order batsmen who let us down, if they'd little more serenity we could've won the match..

4 out of 5 days of domination results in just a 100 run win?
what do you have to do to win by an innings?
we dominated day one, and then dominated perhaps another 2 half-sessions. thats 3 sessions of play = to a full day. we drew even in india's 2nd innings on a flat track where they scored 413-8. let us assume that on a flat track, batting first we kept them to 450, anyone would be pleased at that performance, much less "ordinary" bowlers from an "ordinary" team. thats definitely an overall "drawn" or even "advantage bangladesh" situation in my book.
where we lost the game, was in the batting, top order batting. those 4 sessions is where we got dominated. so in terms of number of sessions won, it was even or possibly even our slight advantage. but as we know the outcome depends on the product of net number of sessions dominated and the magnitude of domination.

We don't play enough Test cricket and we don't play FC cricket period (at least the national teamers haven't in a while). That we took it to the fifth day and made them bat twice is more than we can expect. Our top/middle orders are ill equipped against half decent fast bowling and patience isn't something that you gain overnight. Bottom line - we need to play more longer version matches to be able to succeed against good sides in Test cricket. For now, I'll take this.
