Default Are Bangladeshi Players Professional?

Are Bangladeshi Players Professional?

No doubt about Bangladeshi player’s highest commitment to their cricketing skills and the game cricket. Their talent and their constant improvement show that. Heck without commitment they won’t be in the national team in the first place. But being successful - that is constantly winning games - is totally different ball game. A player has to be a true professional to achieve that feat.

By definition a PROFESSIONAL earns livelihood through what he does or occasionally what he is good at. It is a serious business of one’s survival in the society. So a professional gives his/her best shot at the opportunity presented every single day they go out to earn a living.

In contrast COMMITMENT is somebody’s willingness to thrive. By nature it is an AMATEUR concept. For example a student may or may not have the commitment to do well in certain class. While commitment is a prerequisite of professional behavior, one needs work ETHICS, personal ORGANIZATION, relentless PRACTICE, and most of all PATIENCE to turn that commitment into a PROFESSIONAL business.

It is common sense that BD AMATEUR team can never constantly be a threat against the world’s other PROFESSIONAL teams. Yes, we will have accidental wins when the players’ talent shines. But till that day, when the 11 players and all the officials of BD team achieve professionalism in and out of the field with all that talent and highest commitment we will be subdued by anybody and everybody.

P.S. Please feel free to rate your favorite players in 4 categories –
Committed (C) / Highly Committed (HC) /
Professional (P) / Highly Professional (HP).

Ash - Ameture
Aftab - Satisfied Ameture
Alok - Stylish Ameture
Habibul Bashar - Leader of Ametures
Lutus - Representative of Ametures

These ametures not only is now a liability for the team they change the other professional wanna bes mindset if included in the team, any team.
