Default TEST and ODI's take some rest. T20 fun u r welcome

this is what we had in the last 3-4 months.

4 odis against india-srilanka
2 tests against india
3 odi's against NZ
1 test against NZ
3 odi's against england
2 tests against england
(one t20 against NZ)

well not surprisingly we got beaten in all those games. though we had lots of good performances, high points, big hopes and getting very close amidst of some big disappointments, bad decision making in and off field, poor umpiring etc etc etc.

we have shown some big some of improvement, but time and time again we have also made the same basic mistakes we made 7-8 years ago that is costing us. well all we can wish we keep these improvements growing and the bad old mistakes get less and less. lets say goodbye to ODI and test until may 27 when we play england again in lords

in the mean time, time to focus on t20. the t20 WC is coming on may 1.a month and six days time. we have two domestic t20s before that. so let our stroke makers learn how to capitalize in the 20 over version game. lets have some fun after playing serious cricket for a long time.

Fun is only after you are succesful. After the poor performances, we acant afford to have fun. Do you think that you can have the freedom after doing poor in exams. BD has failed in all their exam by being unable to get a win.

Offstump bhai, I salute the first few points you have mentioned but your ending does not fit our team, come one having fun after failure. I think that if this continues, BD will lose their ICC membership

If we were going in the same school, they would have been expelled by now.

The zim series is the only one which we can win, but then again a blast from chingumbura and the regular brain farts from our batsmen, u never know.

Just read my signature. You can't drop a legend like Ashraful, Imrul averaging 12 after 22 knocks, Ash at least would have been averaging 25-30. Also don't forget he is second best leg spinner after warne so England could have been 6 down today.

Pardon me!!! I think I had wrong understanding of the word legend till now. Can you please explain me what does the word legend mean? Also exactly when and how Ash became a legend?

A legend is someone who is hero who's name has been written down in books, is remembered by people, etc, etc, etc. He is a legend for BD, his name is more frequent in sports bulletins than any other person overall(for BD). He truly is a legend

A legend person means someone who is remembered for a long long time for his/her heroic achievements. Unfortunately Ash didn't pass the test of time yet. On the other hand, doing one or two heroic deeds doesn't warrant the legend title for you.

There are few very current players who can be termed as legends. One example can be Tendulkar.

In how many of Bd wins did Ashraful contribute towards the win?

And these players will get better with more exposure to international cricket, they dont need to rest like us buddhas.

I'm scared of T20Is. At least there's no shame in losing to Pakistan and Australia.

Now who's going to St. Lucia?

The timings are awesome for us North Americans. Bangladesh vs Pakistan Saturday afternoon, India vs South Africa Sunday morning. Catch a flight after work on Friday, watch a couple of games, chill on the beach, catch a flight back on Sunday night. If it's not too costly, it might just be worth it.

yeah 20/20 time. tired of all test and ODi failure, though we played well but result is not in our favor.

now its time to compensate.

first thing: from 20/20 30 man squad-----plz drop shahadat, rubel and mushfiq rahim. then we will be a superb team.

bring hard hitter and 20/20 attitude player in the squad. dont just replace test squad with 20/20 squad.

some guys need attention in this format, specially they are right now out of main squad

1. kapali
2. milon
3. anamul haq (though he is not part of 30 man squad)
4. mithun ali (as a keeper)
5. mashrafe
6. aftab
7. ashraful
8. rasel
9. najmul

ya players should be on role basis. not just pick the best players in BD, rather pick someone who fits the bill at the right spot. for example:

Tamim
Nazmus
Anamul
Nasir
Alok
Shakib
Nayeem
Nazmul Milon
Zia
Sabbir
Mashrafe

agree with u bro. dont look at test average or ODI average. make a team that can perform in 20/20 format. I am sure we have enough players. just find them and choose them for national duty.

Mash is not a 20/20 player, leaks too many runs, cannot bowl properly in the death overs, afraid to face bowlers when batting, utterly useless.

well malinga is a great t20 bowler.....

he has the yorkers deadlier than wasim and waqar

and also last day again gayle, he bowled 7-8 consecurtibe slowers and gayle was totally unable to hit.

rubel used to bowl good yorkers. i think we should train him up to mix those yorkers with goos slower deliveries and thus he could be a good threat in death overs.

i think he has to use the two t20 tourneys to great effect.

not only rubel...... shafiul, mashrafe, nazmul, robin, all our pacers need to find out what is their strength and weakness in death bowling. because in t20 most of the overs is actually death bowling

Sorry to say this, I like Mash, but he will be a wasted body in the final 20/20 squad, however, he should be included for the English tour
