Default Bombs recovered from SBNS :(

Bombs recovered from SBNS

Panic gripped the Bangladesh Cricket Board after two bombs were recovered from the under-construction Krira Palli of the National Sports Council adjacent to the Sahara-BCB Academy building on Thursday.
The hand made bombs which were found in a plastic box first got the attention of a day-labour engaged in chipping bricks near the building that caused a panic around the place as several cricketers use the path to go to the indoor stadium for practice.
‘It is very alarming as the path is used by the players,’ Col (retd) AKM Zaki, venue administrator of Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, told New Age.
‘But we can hardly do anything as the place belongs to the National Sports Council which is constructing a building there,’ said Zaki.
‘There is a pocket gate that is used by various people to enter the Krira Palli which is not under our control,’ he said.
The Ansars deployed at the SBNS for security purpose were called immediately and they defused the bomb.
‘It was quite scary as they appeared to be dangerous kind of bombs,’ said Mohammad Panna Miah, who defused the bomb at 1:30pm.
Later a bomb squad of the Mirpur police station came and took away the bombs.
It was learnt that the under-construction building of the NSC has become a den of miscreants.

You don't, maybe they do?

Cricket is about the only thing that we have. Personally, it's the only thing that doesn't depress me about Bangladesh right now. Looks like they're going to take that away too.

Well the way things are going in a CVILIZED world (well, sort off), our cricket will suffer. Each time I look into BD news, there is someone chopping/shashing someone with a knife, bombing going on, murder/rape, etc. Such a shame, a country for which people gave their life to liberate and this is the end result of it ... SIMPLY DISGUSTING!

I can't blame the people when the leaders are only looking out for their own interest and benefit.

I did not say that. You must not have read between the lines.
with politics getting intertwined with corruption and police violence on innocent, killings and bombings is the by product.
Sorry for bringing politics into this thread but the fact remains.

People end up with the leaders they deserve. Why elect these leaders over and over in the first place?

Spot on. I hope to God nothing serious happens ever because you can forget about any teams touring Bangladesh then and we hardly play any serious cricket anyways these days. Will be the death of cricket in Bangladesh - which is pretty much the only thing of pride we have.
