We are gonna lose a session today atleast it seems. That probably won't make a huge difference but if there is more rain over the next couple of days, a draw seems likely. Sigh, more ridicule for BD!

Any play before lunch in unlikely
The rain has stopped but a lot of mopping up going on after 55mm
fell overnight
some slippery areas on the adjoining pitches where the grass has
not recovered from league matches
As yet no teams have been officially announced, and the toss has
not taken place

8 to 10 sessions will be enough for a result of this test match.

8 sessions is a session short of three days. I don't think we'll get a result out of that. Or atleast I hope not. I think if we lose one full day (3 sessions), we are still likely to get a result. However, much more than that and it will probably end in a draw.
Dorbesh, are you sure we are going to lose two sessions? CricInfo still says no play before lunch, but if you've read somewhere that it will be longer, I'm going to go to sleep!

Rain holds up Harare Test
Bad weather has delayed the start of the first Test between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in Harare.
Groundstaff were busy carrying out mopping up operations at the scheduled start time of 0800 GMT after a heavy downpour overnight.
The prospects of any play before lunch do not look good.

Bowlers' runups were unsafe at the scheduled start of play because of heavy overnight rain. Reuters

Still no news from the Umpires as to a time for the start
The rain has stopped and the cluds seem to be getting higher and
shifting away
clouds
still some concern about the run ups and the slippery bulley from
the adjoining pitches
Drainage is good here, but at the moment the super sopper has
broken down and is being pushed around
The pitch looks to be fine

Program selection inESPN is done by indian. This is indian trick! Before U19 matchup they are trying to demoralise fans.

CricInfo Indian brach is one of its biggest branch generating lots of dough. Just look around USA CricInfo and see the ads on it. All from indian companies. Money talks as they say.

Folks,
unless we start winning, there is no point complaining about media conspiracies. Yes, they haven't been very kind to us. But untill we start winning matches, they aren't going to write good things about us or show matches that Bangladesh won because there aren't any. For the time being, we are going to have to swallow the insults.

Shouldn't there be an update already? If the match was going to start straight after lunch, that is in half an hour. I think a further delay is likely. Can't believe the super sopper decided to break down today!
