to be honest, ive seen it once against Australia in 2011. Shakib was doing the same

Tamim might not seem a team player, nor does Gayle or Pollard. But they play their game and however they play it, it doesnt matter because they can win you the game.

But doing a bit batting practice in an important match thinking that it wont hurt because your team has got a good start just like Taylor is called selfishness. Your goal is not to cement your place in the team, its to win matches. Thats where heroes are made.

The simple equation for Chittagong Kings to qualify.

In Sylhet vs Khulna

If for example Khulna bat first and score 120 and Sylhet gets to the target before 15.3 overs Khulna will have NRR of 0.07 which is <<< 0.078 of Chittagong Kings.

Basically whatever Khulna scores batting first Sylhet will have to get them before 15.3 overs

Tamim and Shakib played it that way because they/our team were traumatized by their 58 and 71 performances during the WC11. I thought they did it to get their self-confidence back.

----

I think Tamim didn't win us a game yet...(hmm..I might be wrong though)

154 against Zimbabwe. The highest by any Bangladeshi in an ODI.

Also in test he may not have won us any game, but his innings saved our faces in challenging conditions where many people questioned Bangladesh's right to play with the big boys.

Yeah that's what I thought as well .. As far as I remember Australia already had posted more than 300 runs and BD started to lose early wickets while chasing.. So Tamim and Shakib were playing a face saving match that day...

Who actually has won us a game other than Ash and Shak ... Mushy did it once in a T20.. So we actually don't have solid match winners... That's the reason we always lose

I know this might sound a bit weird, but on this day what are the players doing. They might not be practicing and even if they do they wont be serious. Perhaps watch the matches

And it hurts, as a CTG fan, not to see ur favourite player in the team play despite your other players are playing crap

I'm going to say something a little controversial here, as much as I like Tamim (a great test player and a very good ODI player) he's not exactly set the world alight in T20 cricket. Nonetheless, I think we'd all love to see him play for CTG.

So far, CTG have been my favourite team in this tournament (though i like Mashrafe's Dhaka too). Some real good batting and as someone else said a side where the locals contribute as much as the overseas players.

I reckon they could win the BPL this year...

I dont think CTG can blame themselves, they did nothing

Its stupid BCB that has done it wrong.

But If CTG management forced BCB to make the decision, then its different

I was joking around about the guy(abu2abu) who posted before you...the one who said, Chittagong were a contender to win the competition - whereas until a couple of hours ago, we ALL thought Chittagong were knocked out of the comp.

Even if CK wins the championship, there'll be an asterisk next to it. Barisal should've played in the semi.

Even as a CTG fan I think BBs deserved to qualify ahead of CTG

But then again, whateve happens happens for the good and Im sure that next year BBs will have Gayle in the whole tournament and they will bring the stadium on fire(HOPEFULLY NOT LITERALLY AFTER THE CONTROVERSY)
