Default Match Thread: 4th Youth ODI: B'desh U19 v England U19: Jan 28, 2012

Jan 28, 2012 (09:00 local | 03:00 GMT | 22:00 EST | 21:00 CST | 19:00 PST) at Sylhet Divisional Stadium.

Kent allrounder Adam Ball leads an England Under-19 squad for the tour of Bangladesh in January. The 15-member squad features eight players who featured in this year's one-day series against South Africa.

BD U-19 leads this seven game series by 2-1. Hope they will bounce back in this 4th match at Sylhet.

England U-19 Squad: Adam Ball (capt), Muhammad Abid, Shozair Ali, Daniel Bell Drummond, Ben Foakes, Gavin Griffiths, Brett Hutton, Aneesh Kapil, Sam Kelsall, Jack Leaning, Craig Overton, Jamie Overton, Rammy Singh, Kishen Velani, Sam Wood.

Bangladesh U-19 Squad: Al-Amin, Aslam Hossain, Mossadek Hossain, Abu Haider, Abu Jayed, Asif Ahmed, Dewan Sabbir, Liton Das, Nasum Ahmed, Soumaya Sarker, Zakaria Masud and Nuruzzaman.

The best of luck, BD.

Win toss and Bat first. Fix the mistakes win at the end. Inshallah.

^^^ Going by the stats only Taskin was very expensive against the lions and also the U19 kids...
I thought he was our next big thing in terms of fast bowlers...

Did anyone watched him bowl live and can you please shed some light on his attributes with the ball??

That's a pretty strong squad, I think only Noor Hossain, Liton Das and Nurul Hasan are missing. The batting particularly is strong as Anamul, Asif and Soumya are all batting together for the first time in this series. Anamul will probably be the WK.

I think we should give him some time, he only had 1 match against both teams. BD pitches, unless you're dead on with your accuracy you won't get enough assitance from the turf to scare the batsman. His opening wasn't bad in the first match, 2 overs, 1 maiden, 1 run conceded, and 1 wicket. He lost the plot a bit after that, when Eng U19 were taking all the bowlers to the cleaners. So I'd show more faith in him and hopefully he gets the remainder of the series.

Anyone who has height and pace, must be persisted with and given a long long rope. Shahadat is nearing the end of his, but I'm glad we stuck with him and gave him a few chances.

Good to see Anamul back and wonder how many more games he will get. Asif has played all the games so far, does he not have a Premier League team?

Australia 604/7d & 167/5d
India 272 & 201 (69.4 ov)
Australia won by 298 runs

Mehtab: "Dont understand why Australia is unwilling to host Bangladesh. Bangladesh could have done a lot better in the four tests than India, You cannot do any worse than this."

CI

It feels good to hear that!...though it's a U19 match thread... but couldn't wait to share this

Aus could have won by an innings as well had they taken a bit more risk.
A good one paniwala bhai....Mehtab's comment makes sense to me.

TigerEz bhai...If we play India and Zimbabwe now..we can beat them--at least those will be close games.

Plus today's 4th ODI will be very exciting.
And BD will win.
