Where should Nasir bat?
Already a big debate, and almost certainly going to be a bigger one as he continues to perform.
But where do YOU think Nasir should bat?
The two options really are whether he should play up the top of the order or play lower in a finisher's role in the latter overs of the innings.
He is, with Tamim and Shakib, our most talented and best technical batsman so a role up the top of the order would certainly make sense.
Although he has one of the best temperaments and coolest heads in team and could play a good role as a Michael Bevan/Michael Hussey-type player.
I think 5 would be a perfect position for him but with Shakib also a perfect number 5 it's hard to slot him in there. Therefore I'm going to say number 6, but I would love to get your thoughts on the issue.

He is ok where he is for now. It's the other sissies above him that need to man up.

I think we are just wasting his talent. He should bat at #4-5. Mushy does well at #6

Agreed. We need another player with a bit of spine like Nasir. Hope one of anamul or mominul will fill that role in the future.

My lineup in order:
Tamim
Nazimuddin
Mahmudullah
Mushfiqur
Shakib
Nasir
Jahirul/Anamul
Nazmul
Mashrafe
Sunny
Razzak
Shahadat
i.e. No. 6 or 7. And Mahdmudullah should come way up the order, he's a top order batsman if anything.

Would love to see Shakib batting at number 4 and Nasir at 5 as both of them don't take much time to settle and their ability to rotate the strike at ease (specially Shakib) helps the team to put up a good total... I just think both Shakib and Nasir comes little too late .. emon shomoi ashe jokhon match bachano chhara r kichhu korar thake na...
Anyways, For some strange reason Shakib doesn't want to come earlier so Nasir has no other option than to play at number 6 as he is not a top order batsman.. not yet..

Which is why they shouldn't bat as high. Imagine Mahmudullah coming down at the fag end and eating up a lot of deliveries to settle in, that would be awful.
Not to mention not exposing your best batsmen to relatively newer ball (and obviously they do well under pressure, better than the rest)

And Jahirul should bat a bit down the order IMO, as he's not opening clearly. He's either better of at middle order, or lower order - he gets going quick.

I like him where he is tbh, he adds stability and support to Shak/Mushfiq should the top order just evaporate.

He's batting at the position where he should, i.e no 6. See he's the man BD has to count on when the top order starts to crumble down. Looks like in the future, he might be joining hands with Shakib/Mushy when it comes to dependency in batting for BD.

Shakib has plenty of time to rest and replenish if he comes after the 20th over...and besides the top order should protect our best batsmen because once he is gone, so is the match(most of the time). he is fine at number 5.

bingo bongo.
Nasir should bat no higher than #6, given Shakib's bowling workload he should bat no higher #6 either. I think Nazim has sealed Imrul's exclusion for the time being, Jaharul deserves a few more chances, and Riyad not only got a poor decision, but he has our highest strike rate from year 2011, at over 80. Riyad, who is not a great power hitter deserves to bat up the order. Mushfiq belongs at either of #3 or 4, preferably the latter. If Jaharul can't keep his spot, bring Anamul/Asif/Mominul in, given that Anam has gotten the first call up, most likely he will receive his cap first.
I think by the next world cup, we will see this team based on how things are at the moment:
Tamim
Nazimuddin
Anamul (+)
Mushy
Mominul
Shakib
Nasir
Masri
E Sunny
Razzak
Rubel
3rd seamer: Shafiul, Nazmul
fringe batters: Sir Ash, Asif Ahmed, Imrul, Junaid, Jahirul
fringe spinners: A Sunny, Enamul Jr
I think this core will have a ton of potential in the years to come.

nasir is already batting at the best position for him.
if mahmudullah or mushfiq cant perform for few matches and nasir continues like he is doing then ma be we need to consider some swapping between these three

Let him be where he is now. We need a lion heart batsman at the lower order who can rotate and accelerate at the same time.
If Mushy or Mullah had batted at Nasir's position last game then game would have been finished long time ago for us.
