If shahdat had given 17 runs instead of 19....if Tamim or shakib scored two more runs ....if Nasir or Nazim got out 2 balls earlier ...if mushy or mash did not get out.... we.could.have.won.

I am sick of having Tamim and Shakib being the only players doing the job with the bat. Nasir is young, but what happened to Rahim (c), Riyad (vc).

I think one thing was missing in our team compared to last two games:

Don't give credit to Pakistani bowling. It was we who are to blame for our own fall.

What is the point of 'shommanjonok porajoy " ? You either win it or dont play!

I just contacted Jurgensen on twitter and told him this:

"Coach, I have a humble request to you: Please don't tell Mushy to bowl Shahadat in the end of an innings in the future. I don't think he (Shahadat) is fit for ODIs. He throws the ball all over the place rather than bowling w/ proper techniques and skills."

He killed us!! 19 runs!! Even if it were only 8-10 runs in that over, we would be lifting the trophy right now. Heart-broken, sad, red-eyed from tears. I will be fine, but will this moment come again in the future?

You know what? Sign us up for the PAK series in April. I will be glad if we go to Pakistan and take revenge. We will go out there no matter what and beat the lights out of 'em. ANGRY

Problems in today's match
----------------------------------
1. Nasir didn't ball.
2. Nazmul got injured and couldn't ball his last 2 overs
3. Shahadat was let to ball and gave away 63 runs including 19 runs in last over!
4. Nazimuddin wasted too many balls.
5. Jahurul got out for a duck
6. Nasir couldn't bat. Should have batted at his usual position after Shakib
7. Mushfiq's less than he should have made innings
8. Abdur Razzak for wasting crucial balls at the end

The captain is to be blamed for this loss. Why did he not give the ball to nazmul instead of Shahadat. He knew that the batsmen will hit him and he bowled clueless. Yes, Rahim lost this match and the title.

Calm down... It only means that we even can cry losing to Pak.... That's no less an achievement... We are maturing as a team.... We just didn't have someone to finish it tonight.... Please be happy for our progress in this tournament ,,, don't be sad....

It's easy for us to all sit here and analyze and criticize our players, what went wrong or what could have been done differently. But guys let's admit Bangladesh has definitely exceeded all of our expectations. I mean who would have thought that we would be in the finals or even win against any of the other teams!! I have been following BD cricket for a long time and I have never seen us playing with so much determination and heart.
In today's match I don't think pitch was batting friendly, the ball was not coming onto the bat and it was difficult to score runs. Also we gotta give credit to the Pakistani bowlers, they really bowled well and kept it tight. At the end of the day it was a close match which could have gone either way.
I personally see a new era or new dawn for our cricket. If our boys can carry on this momentum and positive attitude I think this is just the beginning and BD cricket will go a long way. So I say hats off and salute to our boys! Well done and we are very proud of you!!

I dont think, there is any chance of that Pakistan tour at all for security obligation by ICC for their officals. So once again BD team will have a long ledger till Zimbabwe tour in August for 2 Test, 3 ODI & 2 T20s

+1.

Before the start of this tournament, most of us here in the BC forum were expressing that only one win is more likely and we did not expect any more than that.
Fact is, we kicked India butt out of the cup final and beat Lanka fare and square.
I am sure, everyone played their heart out, with so much pressure in a tight game at this magnitude, some of the most experienced senior players buckled, let alone the young ones.
This group of players had never been under such pressure prior to this match.

I can now dream of us beating quality opponent on a regular basis. I can now walk into any conversation among my Indian, Pakistani or any other great 8s co-workers and not be taken lightly when it comes to cricket.

Riyad is a pussy cat ..... Bishal deho... Out put 0...

Mushy has done it once.. Shak, TI perfect .... Riyad had no urgency to do it today ... That's the pain I suffer from....

Nazim and Nasir should have rotated the strike more. Jahurul is not a no.3 guy . Normally best batsman plays at no # 3 position ( Dilshan , Virat ,etc.). Shakib should start playing at 3 .

so close.... yet so far
it was only 2 runs.. match could have gone either way ... but at the end of the day, Pakistan are the winners on paper...
but nevertheless, i am very satisfied with all of them overall
and tonight just wasn't our night
