After today's match, I am pretty sure that Afghanistan will be a force in WC 2015 because their bowlers will get help from the pitch. It's still far away though ...

Just play within the "V" to their putu putu bowlers. Play sensibly till 35th over then accelerate. Realistic target 170 for 2 at 35th over.

Try to score 300 at least.

Forget about seamers, even their spin bowlers are better than us. Can't remember when was the last time our spinners actually spun the ball !

They are really fast and they ball with a plan and bowl in line and length.

What I have seen, Afgan pacers are better than what we got. No comparison. These bowlers have the structure to sustain long spells. I would take these two before anyone from BD if I had the say for a team.

Coming from that region - fabled for fast bowlers - why did anyone have any doubt - that is what bemuses me. And we had to debate about it!?!

Like - c'mon!

edit - finally had to say it. It's a given - no one produces fast bowlers in this region other than that part of earth! Period.

edit2 : show me one great dedicated pace bowler produced between 34.0167° N and 0 degrees; east of the GMT line.

Both spinners and pacers were better than us. No kidding.

Nabi was bowling more intelligently than Gazi. The leg spinner and left arm spinner too were pretty good.

Not only do their quicks have pace, they bowl in the right areas. Kabir Khan has done an excellent job. While our head coach who was originally signed as a pace coach has achieved nothing of that sort.
