West Indies in total disarray and appointed a nobody captain.

Pakistan in total disarray as always and missing their entire spin bowling attack, plus they'll select garbage like Younis and Shafiq for the WC.

Zimbabwe the weakest they've ever been.

If ever we had a chance to make the quarter finals, this is it. We're not just playing for places, we're playing for the entire future of the Associate game. I hope the other 3 realise this, as a bad performance from all 4 associates here will kill the game outside the top 10.

India's batting is going to be strong, but if we bat second who knows, they're bowling might fall apart.

First game vs Windies will define our entire competition. Cant wait/Am dreading it at the same time

like your optimism but i doubt the scenario will be that easy. WI might be in mess but the truth is, with most of their players used to the Aussie conditions through Big Bash, they will find it much easier than you guys. The quicks will find it quicker and the batsmen would take the advantage of the lack of it from your guys.

Pakistan is in mess only when it comes to batting. I still believe their bowling can win it alone for them... specially against Ireland, Bangladesh and other weaker sides

Zimbabwe i agree should be an easy prey for you guys but they still have a decent lineup of allrounders and the reason they all performed so poorly was because they cant play spin. You will have to beat them in every department if you dont have spin. Its possible but certainly not easy

Just beat Afghanistan and Scotland and I will give you my endless support for 2015 in return. Please. This is all I ask.

We are likely to go with 4 pacers. hopefully these 4 are: Mash, Taskin, Rubel and Al Amin.

If Rubel misses out, then I HOPE they pick Shafiul and not ABUL.

I think those will be the 4 pacers we'll take to Australia. And if Rubel can't take care off this issue, then yes Shafiul should be taken. Shafiul's injured I think though so if he doesn't recover then Abul might come in. Let's hope Rubel takes care of his issues and can make the trip.

I still stand by my point above but I'd like to add to it.

Personally, I think facing Afghanistan first up could be a blessing or a nightmare.

They'll be absolutely pumped up since this is their first ever game at a proper world cup and they know they can beat you. Pace is their strong suit too so if you give them an early wicket they could honestly rip through your batting if you let them as they'll be putting in 120 percent thanks to the occasion.

But, on the other hand it could make them collapse in a heap. As I said when things go against them they just totally fall apart when bowling (which is why we hit 225 vs them in a t20) and they bowl rubbish. Batting wise the occasion will get to their heads I suspect and they shouldnt put up much, unless you make it easy for them.

Much like our match versus the Windies, this game will define your entire world cup I think. A win will give you a pretty big confidence boost plus you'll be in the top 3 of the table, but a loss would destroy your campaign totally I think, as the media campaign against you having test cricket would start up again and you'd be heading into matches vs Aus with zero belief.

Dont know what to expect from this match tbh, two totally unpredictable sides coming against each other. Put them into bat first though and I think they'll fail totally

We have to take each and every game very seriously to go really far in the tournament, no slacking this time. Take one game at a time

Last world cup we were pretty much gone with the attitude certain players showed before and during the world cup(shades of arrogance from both players and fans) and hence 58 + 78...I am just saying it like it is

Afghanistan is a potential banana peel game. like you said batting first, their pacers definitely have the potential to run havoc in our top order. Afghanistan will be treating this game as a must win game for them since they have already beaten us once before in our own soil. Nonetheless, different venue, different conditions, different day so anything can really happen. We just have to play our best cricket and avoid silly mistakes. Sound Judgement is the key.
