I hate to say this but Kayes for mithun...b
Kayes is a test batsman and might successfully able to see off amir..Mithun has no chance to surevive.

How do u kno that our openers will fail even before a ball is being bowled? One of our openers, Soumya has been by far the best batsman last yr. he is having bad times in t20's but that doesn't mean he will fail in the first over. Neither does it apply to mithun. Mithun is inexperienced who will face one of the toughest attacks but that doesn't guarantee that he will fail.

If they r that lethal, then i wanna save sabbir and send him later than sooner.

The argument doesnt make any sense. Let the openers do their job and no. 3 his job. If they fail, they fail. But we cant pre judge and say they will most certainly fail.

Thats a good idea. Kayes is experienced whereas mithun is a rookie

Nurul opening the batting with Nasir coming in. Nurul opened the batting and is normally a top order batsman. Currently he is being wasted at number 7 and also we are missing Nasir in the lineup. Ideally he, Nasir and Rony should all be playing.

Batting by position is a mental thing and thats why a no. 3 prefers to bat no. 3 and not open. Yes shabbir practically played as an opener but if he is pushed to open while he has made no3 his own, it would destabilize the progress he has made in case he fails. Batting positions are very important to cricketers even though we may think whats the difference between batting at 4 and 5 or 1 and 3.

Nurul doesnt have the big hits for a batsman so low down, while mithun has the big hits. I would prefer we switch their positions. Keeping the same team is also ok with me.

In the Under 19 world cup, we knew openers had issues with form, confidence and ability. Yet, we persisted and kept the same team. We changed it finally in the 3rd place decider, result? A win. When we knew there was a problem and we did not act, we are setting ourselves up for a disaster. It is almost 80% fact that Mithun will fail in opening. He does not perform in any level (except practice match) and had one good game vs an sub par associate team UAE.

Chances are higher for Mithun to go out not even scoring a run, that's how bad he is or his form is. To me his defense looks like non-existent. He will get out in the first over make no mistake about that. We are swimming against the current if you get him in the team and expect him to perform. He just isn't gonna score any runs for Bangladesh.

^^ i undrstnd mithun isnt suited for this crucial match. It is understandable. If it was a bilateral series against zim, it wud hv been ok. But, we shouldn't send sabbir to open. We should replace an opener with an opener.

I d pick Kayes over Mithun. Mithun will struggle with his footwork against the Pakistani swing.

Also would pick Nasir over Nurul. Nurul's been a nice little experiment. No doubt he is the best keeper we ve got. But right now its all about what value you can bring to the side. Nasir brings in batting, bowling, fielding.

I wish we had Ziaur Rahman in the squad. We could have picked him over Nasir or Nurul. The guy can spank a few in the end overs and also provide another seaming option (something suited to these pitches).

Looks like the Fizzy Man Fizzur will be out. And I don't want to risk him.

Isam says in his Twitter post, Tamim could replace him. I don't want Tamim coming into this side midway through the series. Obviously he is still in daddy mode, you cannot haphazardly prepare for this ish. Remember when Kayes was called into the world cup side all of a sudden, and he flopped every single match?

This is now my team vs Pak:

Soumya
Nas
Sabbir
Mushfiqur
Shakib
Mahmadullah
Nurul
Mash
Rony
Taskin
Al Amin

No thank you. Don't want mushy to drop crucial catches.

Already our fielders have dropped many! now don't want Mushy to do that.

Nurul has been terrific behind the stumps! Just needs to hit some out!

Are we playing a test match at gabba with 5 taskins?? its t20 mate you always get the oldest keeper to keep anyway, so young players can field. nas should be back next game no question

Kayes in, Nurul out, Nasir opening, Mithun opening, Imrul in

I wanna comment something on this but nvm... Don't know which is worst, I am confused

Tamim will need to think it's a new series against Pak now that's all.

If Tamim comes in then I want Soumya to stay.
besides looking at Irfan's bouncers I think SS will be able to play his special upper cut or just pull for sixes.
Hider should be in for Musta, I hope our team mngmnt wont make mistake by bringing in Sunny.

And it is sad to see people giving up on Nurul so early, he is very sharp, he should stay for now atleast.
