Colin Munro made an unbeaten even 100 off 65 balls (7x4,6x6) for knight riders last night, but that didn't stop guyana from chasing down a target of 163...Chris Lynn struck 77 off 43 balls (1x4, 8x6) to help amazon warriors reach the target..

Gayle's century flattens TKR...Sunil Narine's miserly figures...Shakib two overs went for 26 in a high scoring match last nite.

8th match..St Kitts vs Barbados Tridents:

St Kitts batting first..Parnell just dismissed Simmons in the first over. Good to see Nicholas Pooran behind the stumps for the Tridents..He's a great prospect...Hope to see him in West Indies colors soon

Rampaul opening the bowling from the other..What a pairing this is...2 almost identical pacers in terms of their delivery..only difference being left and right arm pacers.

ABDV fired an unbeaten 63 off 33 balls last night in the chase against the Patriots. Parnell has a good match, bowling economically and was promoted up the order at #3...It was a win for Tridents

1st match in Guyana tonight..here's the preview for the match tonight against the Tallawahs from the local newspaper:

Warriors tackle Tallawahs tonight at Providence
Quote:
Although they are yet to cross the final hurdle, the Guyana Amazon Warriors are the most consistent team so far in the Hero Caribbean Premier League. The fact that they have got off to a dream start in this year’s tournament with successive victories over St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders shows that they are in good form.
Nevertheless they will be counting on huge home support to be successful in their home matches, starting tonight against the Jamaica Tallawahs. Apart from home support the Warriors have a number of quality spinners which will aid in their advantage on a predictably slow Providence pitch. The seamers are quiet capable of varying their pace, but their biggest task will be to contain Chris Gayle.
Like their bowling, the Warriors batting is quiet strong with Dwayne Smith partnering skipper Martin Guptill at the top of the order. On the other hand, the Tallawahs are an experienced unit with the likes of Kumar Sangakkara, Shakib Al Hassan, Andre Russell and Dale Styen....

Guyana Amazon Warriors beats Jamaica Tallawahs to remain undefeated in 3 matches and lead the table...Gayle went for a golden duck. Shakib was among 3 batsmen to cross double figures as Jamaica were bowled out for 100...Shakib once again bowled a good spell, conceding 21runs off his 4 overs..he was second compared to Imad Wasim who was spectacular... 2/6 off four overs.

Providence stadium once again being a spinners paradise. Big up Guyana!!!

Amazon warriors vs st KittsNevis Patriots coming up in less than an hour time. Guyana will probably go with the same team. Staying consistent...have a feeling Shamsi will love the pitch conditions.

Patriots have won the toss and aren't wasting any time..making full use of the conditions. Batting first and setting a good target for the amazon warriors.

Guyana's bowling attack is sick...Zampa and Permaul can tie down any batting..

Zampa's been getting a lot of love from my fellow guyanese...they are crazy about him

Trinbago Knight Riders finally end Guyana's unbeaten run. Amla made a brisk half century that was the bedrock of the Knight Rider's innings..DJ Bravo towards the end of their innings played a cameo that eventually turn out to be the decider in the match.
For the Amazon Warriors, skipper Guptill made an even 50..that was the only significant contribution from his team...

Its about the context of the match. That 25 from 23 was in a difficult wicket where his team scored 100 runs while the opposition took 18 overs to chase it down.

And for the record, Shakib has only played T20s since he has hit 29. And we know for sure how ordinary he is in domestics compared to internationals. Besides, he performed for us in the WT20.

T20 was never his game. He is more suited for the longer formats.
