**UPDATE of West Indies squad...News of Ramdin's sacking from the test squad for the Indian series is made public via Twitter from Ramdin himself...alluding that the chairman of selectors told him that his average is isn't good enough..His test career average is currently 25.87 after 74 Tests.

India's keeper for this series, Saha has an average of 22.06 after 10 Tests.

Putting things in perspective...Mushfiqur Rahim's test average is 33.74 after 43 Tests..

I do hope that Ramdin's replacement will be Barbadian Shane Dowrich, who was designated keeper for West Indies Under-19 team in the 2010 World Cup in New Zealand.

The opener for the WICB pres XI looks solid..he is currently batting on 25. His name is Campbell. Shami has been hitting a good line and lenght while Thakur is trying to attack the batsmen.

I think this will be Rahane's breakout(defining) series. I have lots of admiration for this guy, he's underrated.

Quote:
"You cut out certain shots because, technically, I don't think we will have to change anything really. But we will have to cut out some shots initially, in the first or second session, and after that when you get used to the conditions you will play your shots. But initially, it is important to take time for yourself. If you are used to getting 100 in 150 balls, maybe here you will have to get 100 in 200 balls. So as a batsman it is important to play at least 200-plus balls here."
- Rahane

India are planning on playing 5 bowlers in the first test

PREVIEW FOR THE SERIES:

Quote:
...
On Thursday, when West Indies begin a four-Test home series against India, their squad will contain four fast bowlers with a total of 56 wickets in 31 Tests at a combined average of 40.39, and not a single five-wicket haul.

West Indies have lost Jerome Taylor to Test retirement, and have ignored Kemar Roach. While both were abject in Australia - they combined for two wickets an average of 252.00, and gave away 5.79 runs per over - no team can easily replace a new-ball pair with 252 wickets and the experience of 83 Tests, even a pair as capricious, frustrating and injury-prone as Taylor and Roach.

BK bhai, Cummins is Barbadian, he toured Down Under late last year but didn't play a game. He's got hood pace.

The Guyanese in the squad are Rajendra Chandrika, Leon Johnson, and my fellow brother Devendra Bishoo(from the same village I grew up in)

Oh okay, thank you Aklemalp. Wow, wonderful that Bishoo comes from the same village that you were born. Is he much older than you are? I will give you a call, I have been away my dear.
