Default Going to see Shakib in CPL | 31st July

Next week, CPL will move to USA for some matches. Already bought the ticket for Shakib's match next sunday. I hope he will play that match.

Any BC members going?

I will post pictures after. Also, what should I say to Shakib from BC

Looks like you moving to Florida is already paying off man. Tell Shakib to win us the test match against India.

It is long drive from my place. Around 6 hours I think but hey can't miss Shakib even if its like 24 hours. I am more in Georgia/South Carolina than Florida haha. It is deep south and part of bible belt.

I will tell him to come to your special ceremony next week

Ahha..mufi, that would be a joy watching Shakib play hope Tallawahs doesn't drop him that day.

One question I would ask him is how does he go about preparing for a match- does he try new stuff in the bowling sessions.

I've like him more as a bowler than as a batsman--minutely.

PS: make sure you show him your BC official badge hehe

Ryad hoiley 6 ghonta shatraya jaito.

Anyway, good luck Mustafa, ask Shakib to open a BC account, and tell him that he needs to post atleast once every week to keep his account alive.

It's in Fort Lauderdale. I am only going for 31st July. So will see 2 matches with 1 ticket (price was $43 when I bought around 2-3 weeks ago). I live 15 mins from FL/GA border.

It's not just Shakib, you will also get to see Gayle, Sanga and Steyn. We need a nice trip report, front page worthy.

1. Has he learnt how to spin the ball both ways? If yes, did he apply it in any match? If not, then why not? Few years back he told that was the only way to survive in 20 over pressured matches.

2. When does he plan to take rest?

Best wishes for him and his family.

Shakib basically being treated like a joke these days. He won them a couple of matches batting at 5.

Now he has found his way at no.8 and we all know he needs time to settle in. Even someone like Faf,Duminy, Ross Taylor they all do.

Okay finally I got some time to sit down to write this --

Trip - It was a 6 hours trip one way (including gas stops / snacks). I would have never went to Fort Lauderdale if it wasn't for this match. But 12 hours trip back and forth was really hectic.

Stadium - It is a a decent size stadium with gallery on one side and open spaces in rest. There are no big screen TV from one part of the gallery and unfortunately that is where we sat. So it was difficult to follow the game and score closely.

Players I got to see - DJ Bravo, Hashim Amla, Samuel Badree, Dinesh Ramdin, B McCullum, Chris Gayle, Darren Sammy, David Miller, Michael Hussey, Shane Watson, Sangakkara, and of course Shakib.

Average player who has forgotten how to play properly. I saw Mustafiz when he played here recently. Now, that was a player worth watching.

Thanks Mufi. Just now got to this thread. Why you didn't like Fort Lauderdale? Nice place. I stayed there for one week on a conference way back in 2003.

Did you ask anything to Shakib?
