Default Your England Squad

Last thing we want is BCB-ECB gives a go ahead and Banglaforum.com members are not ready with their squad.

Don't let this happen to you.

We should prepare for battle regardless just like the Tigers are doing, ie attending training camp.

Now million dollar question would Mustafizur recover before October? In that case:

ODI/T20

1. Tamim
2. Soumya
3. Shabbir
4. Mushfiqur
5. Shakib
6. Mamodoullah
7. Nasir [this is an open slot]
8. Mashrafe
9. Taskin (cleared or not cleared?) / If not Rony
10. Rubel
11. Mustafizur

Riyad's captaincy is only for T20. I think this can work in a positiveway for BD in tests, where the captain makes some questionable decisions. I based my reason on putting the (c) next to riyad's name from exploits as skipper in BPL.

About the Mehedi guy...he's BD under-19 skipper. He's my second choice in that spot...can bat and bowl. ..and has great maturity and mentality...

420 characters? What is this? Weeder

highly underrated player....everyone wants to smack him out of the park but the ball somehow manages to find the fielder close to the ropes

Have people forgotten Mosaddek?

I think Mosa will be picked in the LoI side. Only issue is : where do we slot him? How about 1 down?

Where's your custom title? You know more about BD cricket than me and regular BC members.

Btw, I wouldn't be surprised if any of the following makes a come back: Shahriar Nafees, Anamul, The Rajib Is and sigh, even Rock.

Zeeshan, for some strange reason I've always read that as laff out loud.

Another one of those surprises might be Naeem 'chokka' Islam...he used to strike the cricket ball real sweet.

I think it's very important that a few players from the under 19 team get picked into the squad...

It's is critical that they share the same dressing room alongside senior players like Mashrafe, Shakib, riyad, etc...integration...and learning new tricks.

I have to slightly disagree. We always have been always doing this strategy of funneling in young guns HOPING FOR FUTURE, of this entire 'all retch no vomit' (pardon the analogy) for SOMEDAY. Instead, we need to build a powerhouse squad, explode, completely dominate and overwhelm opponents and the rest will follow suit. They will be inspired from performance, therefore more competition, more tryouts.

I think guys like Souyma, Mustafizur, taskin, etc...have all taken into account your last sentence. Inspiration.

I'm merely coming from a standpoint of morale building. Being in the company among role models...being in the squad gives them a 10% of actually playing.

I'm just hoping that the players are busy with practice and such...getting tuned to the long game. Last thing you want is a team that is as rusty as a steel pipe left on the shores of a beach.

Just thinking about the return of cricket makes me reminisce to that time Souyma spanked 127*....and also his catch in the T20 world cup that was featured in ESPN's sportscenter.

If he is picked I'd say it's instead of nasir, he generally bats middle to lower order so would be best to slot him in there. Open with tamim and soumya, I guess riyad can still be at 3 for now, mushy at 4, shakib 5, sabbir 6, mosaddek 7.
